Cú Chulainn's Strengths

Survival-Oriented Attacker for Boss Stages

Cu Chulainn is an Attacker with a 3-hit Evade that has no turn limit. Combined with his Guts buff, he can easily survive high-damage attacks, making him a great choice for boss fights.

Still Tanky Even After Evade Expires

Even if his Evade stacks are depleted, the DEF Up buff from his Skill 2 also helps mitigate damage. His Skill 1 can grant him a Guts buff to guarantee his survival, while his Skill 3 can restore his HP.

Noble Phantasm Applies 1-Turn Sure Hit Before Attacking

Cu Chulainn's Noble Phantasm bypasses the target's Evade with its Sure Hit effect. His follow-up card attacks will also bypass Evade, as the Sure Hit buff lasts for one turn.

Noble Phantasm Also Reduces Enemy Defense

His Noble Phantasm applies a DEF Down debuff to the enemy after dealing damage. While this doesn't boost his initial NP damage, the debuff lasts for 3 turns, allowing him to deal more damage with subsequent attacks. He can also stack this debuff by using his NP again. Additionally, the DEF Down multiplier scales with Overcharge.

Noble Phantasm Can Apply "Death" to the Target

Cu Chulainn's Noble Phantasm also has a chance to inflict Instant Death on the target after dealing damage. However, the success rate is not high (60% at Overcharge Lv1), and his kit lacks any buffs to improve it. Furthermore, the chance of inflicting Instant Death on most bosses is extremely low.

Higher ATK Up buff the Lower His HP

Cu Chulainn's Skill 1 provides an ATK Up buff that increases as his HP gets lower, starting at 20% and maxing out at 50%. Since his defensive skills allow him to survive at critically low HP, it's recommended to keep his HP low to maximize this buff's effect.

Tip!	The ATK buff at full HP is still a decent value, allowing him to deal good damage without needing to be at critically low HP.

Recommended Skill Leveling by Priority

Skill 1	Priority: ★★☆ You can boost the Guts recovery amount. It works even unleveled, but the skill cooldown reduction from leveling makes reusing the ATK Up that scales higher the lower your Guts/HP easier.
Skill 2	Priority: ★★★ You can boost the DEF Up multiplier. It works even unleveled, but the skill cooldown reduction from leveling makes reusing the DEF Up or Evade (3 hits) easier. Since Evade (3 hits) + DEF Up is excellent, this is the top pick for skill leveling.
