Buster cards deal the highest damage among card types, making them useful for defeating enemies quickly or targeting high HP opponents. Selecting a Buster card first increases the damage dealt by all cards in the turn.
Arts Card Details
Arts cards generate higher NP Gain compared to other card types, allowing Noble Phantasms to be charged more efficiently. Using an Arts at the start of the chain increases NP Gain for all cards selected in the turn.
Quick Card Details
Quick cards generate more Critical Stars and can also provide moderate NP Gain. Selecting a Quick card first increases Critical Star generation for all cards in the turn and grants a 20% Critical Rate increase.
Extra Attack Details
Extra Attacks are triggered by selecting all three Command Cards from the same Servant in a single turn. Extra Attacks deal additional damage while generating NP and Critical Stars, but cannot land Critical Hits.

Buster Chain Details

Using three Buster cards increases the damage dealt by all cards in the chain, making this effect most useful when aiming to defeat enemies quickly or deal higher damage to durable targets. The bonus does not apply to Noble Phantasms.
Arts Chain Details

Triggering an Arts Chain grants 20% NP Gauge to all Servants whose cards were selected, helping charge Noble Phantasms faster and supporting teams that rely on frequent NP usage.
Quick Chain Details

Activating a Quick Chain generates 20 Critical Stars for the following turn, making it useful when preparing for Critical Hits or supporting Servants that rely on consistent star generation.
Mighty Chain Details

Using one of each card type in the same turn activates all first card bonuses simultaneously, increasing damage, NP Gain, and Critical Star generation within the chain. This allows multiple effects to be gained at once rather than focusing on a single bonus.
Mighty Chain Command Card Selection Examples
| Priority | 1st | 2nd | 3rd |
|---|---|---|---|
| Damage | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
| NP | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
| Stars | ![]() | ![]() | ![]() |
The above are basic recommended selection orders for Mighty Chains based on your objective. In practice, performance may vary depending on Servant stats, card performance, and active buffs, so adjust according to the situation.
Brave Chain Details

Brave Chains are activated by selecting all three Command Cards from the same Servant in a single turn, triggering an additional Extra Attack at the end of the chain. This provides increased overall damage while also generating extra NP and Critical Stars. Brave Chains can also occur with other chains if conditions are met.
How to Choose Command Cards
Card Selection Order

The order of selected Command Cards affects their effectiveness during a chain. Later cards receive higher performance bonuses, making the second card stronger than the first and the third stronger than the second.
First Card Bonus is Crucial

Choosing the first Command Card is important, as the first card bonus applies additional effects to the entire chain. Selecting Buster first increases damage, Arts improves NP Gain, and Quick increases Critical Star generation.
Does Not Apply to Noble Phantasms
The first card bonus does not affect Noble Phantasms, so it is best to place them at the start of a chain. This allows the remaining Command Cards to receive the bonus effect.
Card Selection Based on the Situation
Command Card selection depends on your situation. Prioritize an attacker’s cards when aiming for higher damage, or select Arts cards for Servants that need additional NP Gain.
Select a Different Servant Card to Change Target Midway
If you pick cards from the same Servant, they will continue to attack even after the enemy is defeated. To switch targets midway to a different enemy, you can select a different Servant's card.
Use Card Manipulation Skills

Some skills can shuffle Command Cards or guarantee that cards from a specific Servant will appear. Using these effects improves consistency by reducing reliance on card RNG, making difficult content and farming setups more reliable.
Servants with Command Card Manipulation Skills
| Card Manipulation | |
|---|---|
![]() | Ishtar (Archer) (5★) - Guarantees that all 5 of her Command Cards will be drawn after 1 turn. |
![]() | BB (5★) - Freezes (locks) the current hand of Command Cards for 3 turns. - The effect is canceled if a party member is swapped or if the cards are shuffled by another skill. |
![]() | Altria Pendragon (Ruler) (5★) - Applies "Unselectable" status to a single ally, then shuffles the Command Cards. - This allows you to shuffle the deck using only the cards of the other two party members. |
| Card Type Change | |
![]() | Altria Pendragon (Saber) (5★) - Changes all of her own command cards to Buster (1 Turn) |
![]() | Durgā (5★) - Changes all of her own command cards to Arts (1 Turn) |
![]() | Shizuki Soujuurou (4★) - After 1 turn, changes all of his own command cards to the chosen type (1 Turn) |
