How to Obtain Stars

Generate Stars by Attacking

Critical Stars are generated when attacking enemies, with the amount produced affected by card type, hit count, and Star Generation modifiers. Servants with higher hit counts generally generate more Stars through normal attacks.

Tip!	Critical Star generation varies by class. Assassins in particular are among the best star generators!

Use Quick Chains

Activating a Quick Chain generates 20 Critical Stars for the following turn, providing a reliable source of Stars regardless of damage dealt or enemy count.

Use Skills and Noble Phantasms

Many Servants possess Skills or Noble Phantasm effects that generate Critical Stars instantly or over multiple turns. These effects provide a consistent source of Stars outside of normal attacks.

Equip Craft Essences

Certain Craft Essences increase Critical Star generation or provide Stars at the start of battle and each turn. These effects help improve access to Critical Hits and support Crit-focused teams.

Star and Critical Mechanics

Critical Rate is Determined by Stars

Critical Rate is based on the number of Critical Stars allocated to a Command Card. Each Star increases Critical Rate by 10%, with up to 10 Stars allowing a Command Card to reach a maximum of 100% Critical Rate.

Critical Rate is Displayed Above the Card

The current Critical Rate for each Command Card is shown above the card during selection, allowing Critical Hit chances to be checked before attacking.

Guaranteed Critical Hits with 50 or more Stars

A total of 50 or more Critical Stars guarantees Critical Hits for all available Command Cards, regardless of individual Star distribution.

Effects of Critical Hits

Deal Double Damage

Critical Hits deal double damage compared to normal attacks, significantly increasing damage output and making Critical-focused Servants more effective.

Benefits from "Critical Strength Up"

Critical Strength Up buffs further increase the damage dealt by Critical Hits, allowing Servants to exceed the standard damage multiplier.

Double NP Generation

Critical Hits also increase NP generation, allowing Servants to charge Noble Phantasms faster through normal attacks.

Increase Star Generation Rate

Landing Critical Hits also improves Star generation, making it easier to achieve consecutive Critical Hits.
