This is a beginner-friendly guide to Georgios in Fate/Grand Order (English). It breaks down what makes Georgios strong, his basic stats, skills, and Noble Phantasm, plus the Ascension and skill-up materials you'll need to raise them.

Georgios's Strengths

Protects Allies via a Sustained Target Focus

Georgios is a debuff-resistant tank specialist with a 3-turn Target Focus from his first skill. With this skill's 5-turn cooldown (CD), he can maintain his Target Focus and serve as a long-term tank for bosses and story progression.

Effective Even at Level 1

Georgios' Skill 1 is where his Target Focus comes from. Since it's available from Servant Level 1, he can be immediately be deployed as a sacrificial tank.

Tanks Damage with Powerful DEF Up Self-Buffs

Georgios' DEF Up buffs can total up to 80% from a Level 10 Skill 1 and Overcharge Level 5 Noble Phantasm. His Skill 1's DEF Up buff lasts for 3 turns while his NP's lasts for 1 turn. At OC Lv1, the total DEF Up will be 60%. It's recommended to time his NP use for turns when the enemy is expected to deal high damage.

Can Tank Enemy Noble Phantasms with Proper Team Support

With defensive support from allies, Georgios' DEF Up buffs can allow him to greatly reduce incoming damage. In certain scenarios, he can even reduce enemy NP damage to 0, making this a good strategy against enemies with Ignore Invincible.

Has HP Heal and Guts for Additional Survivability

Georgios' survivability is supplemented by a flat HP Recovery from Skill 2 and a Guts buff from Skill 3. Combined with his DEF Up buffs, this allows him to maintain his HP and tank damage effectively.

Noble Phantasm Applies Dragon Trait on an Enemy

* Beowulf has a Special Attack against Dragon-trait enemies. By applying the Dragon trait to Demon King Nobunaga with his NP, Georgios allows Beowulf to deal more damage to her.

While his Noble Phantasm deals low damage, it applies a unique "Dragon" trait debuff to a single enemy. While he doesn't have any Special Attack modifiers for Dragon enemies, certain Servants like Sigurd and Kriemhild do and he can be used to support them.

Strong Resilience to Status Ailments and Debuffs

Georgios' Skill 2 also gives a Mental Debuff Resist Up buff and with his "Magic Resistance A" Class Skill (Passive), he is resistant to debuffs. His Target Focus also forces enemies to target him with Single-Target debuffs, making him a good tank for that purpose as well.

Vulnerable to Specific Counter-Mechanics

While his kit sounds amazing, Georgios can struggle against enemies with Buff Removal, Ignore DEF, or ATK Up buffs. Also, since he can only tank single-target attacks, AoE Noble Phantasms and team-wide normal attacks are better handled by other defensive supports.

Has a High C. Star Gather Rate Despite a Defensive Role

Georgios is a Rider-class Servant, so he naturally has a high base C. Star Gather Rate. If your main attacker has a low C. Star Gather Rate or no C. Star Gather Up buff, they can struggle to deal consistent Critical hits with fewer than 50 Critical Stars. This can be alleviated by using Craft Essences that affect Critical Stars.

	Morgan (★5) A Berserker with a 50% NP charge. Fragile Berserkers generally pair exceptionally well with Georgios's long-term Taunt.
	Sigurd (★5) If Georgios applies the Dragon trait to an enemy with his NP, Sigurd's Anti-Dragon special attack NP can deal massive damage to any target regardless of their original traits.
	Kriemhild (★4) If Georgios applies the Dragon trait, her Anti-Dragon special attack NP deals high damage to any enemy. Georgios's Taunt also covers the inherent fragility of her Berserker class.
	Siegfried (★4) By using Georgios to apply the Dragon trait, Siegfried can trigger his Anti-Dragon special damage against any enemy. He also has a skill that provides Anti-Dragon defense, keeping his own damage taken low.
Compatible Supporters
	Merlin (★5) He can grant AoE Invincibility via his skill, covering the party-wide defense that Georgios lacks. His NP also provides turn-based HP recovery, greatly supporting Georgios's ability to tank.
	Jeanne d'Arc (★5) Her NP's party-wide Invincibility, HP recovery over time, and DEF buffs protect Georgios effectively. She is highly recommended for defense-oriented stall parties.
	Zhuge Liang (Lord El-Melloi II) (★5) Provides DEF buffs and Damage Cut, further reducing the damage Georgios takes while tanking. With up to 50% NP charge, he can also facilitate the use of Georgios's NP to apply the Dragon trait.
	Altria Caster (★5) Her NP grants Anti-Purge Defense, allowing the party to withstand powerful enemy NPs. With her 50% NP charge support, she also makes it easier for Georgios to fire his NP.
	Tamamo-no-Mae (★5) Since she provides consistent HP recovery, Georgios can survive much longer. Her NP also reduces skill cooldowns, making it easier to maintain Georgios's Taunt uptime.
	Mash Kyrielight (★3-★4) She provides significant DEF buffs; when combined with Georgios's own DEF buffs, incoming damage can be reduced to zero.
	Hans Christian Andersen (★2) In addition to turn-based HP recovery from his NP, he can grant chance-based DEF buffs, providing budget-friendly support for Georgios's survivability.

Recommended Skill Leveling by Priority

Skill 1	Priority: ★★★ You can boost the DEF Up multiplier, improving survivability. The cooldown reduction from leveling also makes reusing Target Focus easier, so level it first.
Skill 2	Priority: ★★☆ You can boost the HP recovery amount. Leveling improves survivability. Level it up in parallel with Skill 3.
