This is a beginner-friendly guide to Xu Fu in Fate/Grand Order (English). It breaks down what makes Xu Fu strong, her basic stats, skills, and Noble Phantasm, plus the Ascension and skill-up materials you'll need to raise them.

Xu Fu's Strengths

Great Synergy with Arts Attackers

Xu Fu has a party-wide Arts Performance Up, NP Generation Rate Up, and a single-target 30% NP Charge. This combination allows her to boost the damage output of Arts attackers while supporting their NP loops, making her an excellent low-rarity Arts support.

Extra Damage Against Undead Enemies

Xu Fu's second skill also provides a teamwide damage buff against Undead enemies. While the 30% damage increase isn't particularly high, the Undead trait is common among enemies, making it a decent damage boost nonetheless.

Excellent Critical Star Generation

Xu Fu's Noble Phantasm grants her a buff that generates 20 Critical Stars per turn for 5 turns. Since it has a lengthy duration, you can easily stack this effect. In Arts teams that typically struggle with Star generation, her second skill, which buffs teamwide Critical Strength, makes her a great support for Crit-focused teams.

Excellent Utility Against Enemy Gimmicks

Her first skill removes one debuff from the entire party (Debuff Cleanse), and her third skill grants Buff Removal Resistance (1 Turn) to a single ally. Buff Removal Resistance is a particularly rare effect that few Servants possess, which makes her exceptionally valuable as a low-rarity unit who can provide it.

Only Sustains Team with HP Heals

While Xu Fu has a self-heal on her NP to aid her survival, her max HP is low due to her 3-star rarity. Even with her powerful self-heal and HP recovery per turn, she can still be easily defeated by a single critical hit.

Provides Even Greater Support to Yu Mei-ren

Xu Fu's third skill provides additional effects when targeting Yu Mei-ren, granting her an NP Strength buff and an extra 20% NP charge. This brings the total NP charge for Yu Mei-ren to 50% on top of the damage buff. However, the synergy is currently limited, as there is no Arts-based attacker version of Yu Mei-ren yet.

Compatible Attackers
	Qin Shi Huang (★5) A critical attacker who struggles with Critical Star generation, making Xu Fu's support a perfect fit. His NP's Target Focus and Invincibility can also protect Xu Fu, creating a powerful combination against enemies with single-target NPs.
	Himiko (★5) A high-damage critical attacker whose Overcharge (OC) effect can increase the number of Altria Caster's Anti-Purge Defense charges. She not only makes good use of Xu Fu's support but can also cover the defensive gaps that Altria Caster alone tends to have.
	Super Orion (★5) An extremely high-damage critical attacker. Although he primarily attacks with Buster cards, activating his NP is also important. Therefore, NP support and the Arts performance boost from Xu Fu, which helps build his NP gauge, are highly beneficial.
	Chen Gong (★2) An attacker who sacrifices an ally with his NP. Since his strategy involves repeatedly using his NP while swapping out supports, Xu Fu is a great choice as a sacrificial unit for farming.
	Yu Mei-ren (★4) She lacks an NP Strength buff, so Xu Fu can efficiently boost her damage. Her single Arts card also has excellent performance, and with Xu Fu's support, it becomes even easier to build her NP gauge, making NP looping a viable strategy.
	Summer Yu Mei-ren (★4) Like her Lancer version, she lacks an NP Strength buff, so her damage can be boosted efficiently. She has a high-multiplier Critical Strength buff and can deal significant damage using the Stars Xu Fu generates. Her single Arts card is also excellent, making it easier to loop her NP.
Compatible Supporters
	Altria Caster (★5) The premier Arts supporter. Her Anti-Purge Defense can protect Xu Fu, while Xu Fu can provide the minor HP recovery that she lacks, creating strong synergy between them.
	Lady Avalon (★5) An Arts support who provides high-multiplier Critical Strength buffs. Her party-wide Invincibility protects Xu Fu, and since her NP generates Critical Stars and NP gauge, it facilitates repeated use of Xu Fu's NP.
	Merlin (★5) A Buster support who provides high-multiplier Critical Strength buffs. His role is similar to Lady Avalon's, so it's best to choose between them depending on whether your main attacker is Buster or Arts-focused.
	Pope Johanna (★5) She can support Arts critical attackers alongside Xu Fu. She also provides a 20% NP charge to the party each turn, making it easier for everyone to use their NPs.

Recommended Skill Leveling by Priority

Skill 1	Priority: ★★☆ You can boost the multipliers of NP Gain Up and HP recovery for all allies. It makes activating the NP easier and improves survivability, so level it up alongside the other skills.
Skill 2	Priority: ★★★ You can boost the multipliers of Critical Strength up and the Anti-Undead special attack buff for all allies. Since it boosts damage, prioritize leveling it.
Skill 3	Priority: ★★★ At Lv10 the single-target NP charge becomes 30% and the buff removal resist up reaches 100%. It makes activating the NP easier and stabilizes buff-removal countermeasures, so level it first.
