How to Level Up Skills and the Benefits
Level Up in the Skill Enhancement Menu

To access the Skill Enhancement menu, go to Menu > Enhance > Skill. First, select the Servant whose skills you want to level up. The required materials and QP will then be displayed. Tapping "Enhance" will consume the items and QP to level up the Skill.
Requires a Lot of QP and Materials
Upgrading a Servant's Skills consumes a large amount of materials and QP. These materials include Class Gems and Crystallized Lore, which are often available from limited-time events. The Servant's Rarity also affects the quantity of materials and QP required.

Material Requirements Vary by Servant
The tier (Bronze/Silver/Gold) and amount of skill materials needed vary between Servants. For example, Tezcatlipoca (★5) requires 72 Obsidian Edge (a Bronze-tier material) and 3 different types of Gold-tier materials (excluding Class Gems). This differs from Altria Pendragon (★5), who only uses 2 Bronze-tier and 2 Gold-tier materials.
Skill Level Maxes at Level 10

In Fate/Grand Order, all Skills max out at Level 10. This applies to both Normal Skills and Append Skills.
Tip! | Skill Lv5 is a great stopping point. The QP and material costs spike significantly from Lv6 to 10, so focusing on other aspects after Lv5 is recommended. |

Benefits of Leveling Servant Skills
- Increases the effectiveness of the skill
- Reduces Skill cooldown (CD)
Increases the Effectiveness of the Skill

▲Leveling up this Skill will improve the multipliers of all the buffs marked with [Lv. 1].
Increasing a Skill's effectiveness is the primary benefit of leveling it. While some effects have a constant multiplier, any effect marked with [Lv. 1] will be enhanced as the Skill levels up.
Reduces Skill Cooldown (CD)

Leveling up a Servant's Skills reduces their cooldown, which is the number of turns required before the Skill can be used again. This reduced cooldown is especially important for Buster looping team compositions.
Skill Enhancement Priority
Prioritize Frequently Used Servants
Prioritize leveling the skills of your most-used attackers and supports. This helps you focus your farming efforts on the necessary materials and QP. If resources are limited, enhance your supports' skills before your attackers'.
Recommended ServantsPrioritize NP Charge Skills

▲NP Charge Skills are often marked with a sword icon, though some Servants have unique icons for these skills.
NP Charge skills are the most important type for both attackers and supports. This is especially true for supports who provide party-wide NP charge, as the amount of charge they provide often depends on the skill level.
For attackers, NP charge is still more important than damage buffs because NP looping is a core part of the game's farming meta. You can focus on damage buffs after the NP charging skills of both your supports and attackers are maxed out.
Second Priority: Damage Buffing Skills

The damage-buffing skills of support Servants are generally a higher priority than those of attackers, as they often provide larger, party-wide multipliers. You can save leveling your attackers' damage buffs for later, when you begin to face enemies with higher HP.
Level Other Skill Types as Needed

Defensive skills that provide Evasion, Invincibility, or healing can be left at lower levels, as their usage is relatively niche. They are mostly used for Challenge Quests and other high-difficulty stages. Since FGO's gameplay is primarily focused on farming, these defensive skills are not used as frequently as NP charging and damage-buffing skills.
