This is a beginner-friendly guide to Alexander in Fate/Grand Order (English). It breaks down what makes Alexander strong, his basic stats, skills, and Noble Phantasm, plus the Ascension and skill-up materials you'll need to raise them.

Alexander's Strengths

Great AoE Attacker for Farming

As a ★3 Servant, Alexander's Noble Phantasm Level can easily be maxed while pulling on banners. He also has an Interlude quest that buffs his NP's damage, making him a great AoE Attacker for farming. Additionally, he provides teamwide Quick Effectiveness and ATK buffs, which work great for multi-attacker farming teams.

Alexander's Skill 1 and Skill 3 provide teamwide ATK Up and Quick Effectiveness Up buffs that last for 3 turns. The cooldowns for both skills are reduced from 7 turns to 5 turns (at Skill Lv10), ensuring high uptime in longer battles.

Can Remove Enemy Buffs

Alexander's Skill 2 can remove a single enemy's buffs after a Rank Up. This ability isn't used for farming teams but it's a very valuable ability in Story Progression and clearing Challenge Quests if the boss enemy has removable buffs.

Can Charm Humanoid Enemies

The same Skill 2 also has a 100% (Skill Lv10) chance to inflict Charm on a single enemy. Charm works similar to a Stun that prevents enemies from attacking or using Skills. Be aware that it can fail to apply if the enemy has a Debuff Resistance or is Debuff Immune.

Can Easily Access Critical Attacks

Bucephalus B++	Deal heavy damage to all enemies + Gain 15 (OC Lv5: 35) C. Stars

While Alexander's Noble Phantasm has one hit count, it has an effect of generating 15 to 30 (OC Lv5) Critical Stars for the next turn. And since he's a Rider with innate C. Star Gather Rate, his cards will often have higher Critical Rate allowing him to deal powerful Critical attacks.

	Taigong Wang (★5) Grants an AoE Quick buff, ATK up, and NP Strength up, allowing him to fight alongside Alexander while they boost each other's damage. With a 30% self NP charge and a 20% AoE NP charge, he supports his allies' NPs while also acting as an attacker.
	Achilles (★5) With up to a 30% NP charge, he can easily use his NP. As a Quick attacker, he benefits from Alexander's buffs to boost his damage. He can also utilize the Critical Stars generated by Alexander for his own critical hits.
	Astolfo (★4) With up to a 50% NP charge, he can easily use his NP. As a Quick attacker, his damage scales well with Alexander's buffs. He can also use the Critical Stars from Alexander to land critical hits.
	Medusa (★3) Possesses a 20% NP charge. As a Quick attacker, she can boost her damage with Alexander's buffs.
Compatible Supporters
	Summer Scáthach-Skadi (★5) Her up to 50% NP charge allows for easy NP usage. Her Buster/Quick buffs and Buster Critical Strength buffs increase Alexander's damage. Note that Alexander generally cannot perform back-to-back NP loops in a "system" setup.
	Scáthach-Skadi (★5) Her up to 50% NP charge makes it easy to use her NP. Her Quick buff and Quick Critical Strength buff significantly increase Alexander's damage. Note that he cannot easily perform back-to-back NP loops.
	Oberon (★5) His up to 70% NP charge makes it very easy to use his NP. The high-multiplier NP Strength buff, which Alexander lacks, greatly increases his damage output. He also generates Critical Stars, making it easier to land critical hits.
	Merlin (★5) Turn-based HP recovery and AoE Invincibility protect Alexander, making him a recommended partner for high-difficulty quests. His ATK buff increases damage, while his Star generation and high-multiplier Critical Strength buff make critical hits much easier to land.

Recommended Skill Leveling by Priority

Skill 1	Priority: ★★★ This skill's party-wide ATK Up buff gets stronger, so it should be a high priority to level up.
Skill 2	Priority: ★☆☆ At Lv10 you can guarantee Charm application to Humanoid enemies. For farming purposes leaving it unleveled is fine, but for clears level it up.
Skill 3	Priority: ★★★ You can boost the AoE Quick Up buff multiplier. It makes dealing damage easier, so prioritize leveling it.
