Cú Chulainn (Alter)'s Strengths
High Damage Attacker via NP and Normal Attacks
Cú Chulainn (Alter) possesses one of the highest ATK stats and a 3-Buster card deck. His Noble Phantasm is also Buster, making Buster Chains easy to perform and allowing him to function as an attacker who deals heavy damage with his NP and normal attacks.

Excellent NP Effects
His Noble Phantasm removes defensive buffs before damage calculation, stripping enemy Invincibility and Evade effects before dealing damage. It also grants him ATK and DEF buffs that scale with Overcharge, making it easy to deal powerful damage with his follow-up card attacks in the same turn.
High Durability for Difficult Content
Cú Chulainn (Alter) possesses a 2-hit Evade and a 5-turn 1-time Guts skill. Despite being a Berserker, he boasts exceptional survivability, making him an easy-to-use attacker for high-difficulty battles.
Multiple Defensive Skills
He also possesses skills that apply an AoE enemy debuff that lowers their ATK Down and Critical Chance, as well as a self DEF buff. While neither multiplier is high enough to neutralize an enemy Noble Phantasm on its own, they are good for reducing damage from normal attacks.
Can Also be Used as Backline Member
As a Berserker, Cú Chulainn (Alter) can reliably serve as your primary Attacker across most quests. Once your roster expands with class-advantaged Attackers capable of out-damaging him, you can comfortably transition him to a sub-member or backline role.

Exceptionally Potent in Last-Man-Standing (Solo) Situations
Cú Chulainn (Alter) excels when using Buster Brave Chains, making him an attacker whose cards you want to pick actively. Because he can unleash continuous heavy damage while surviving with Evade and Guts, he is very strong in solo (last-man-standing) situations.

Suboptimal for Farming
With a single-target NP and no innate NP battery skill, he struggles in farming content, including irregular 90+ / 90++ nodes. While his high ATK lets him farm standard mob waves using normal attack face cards, his lack of party-wide support skills keeps him from being optimal for farming setups.

| Step 1:Lv.4 Lv.1 Lv.1 Using him with his Skills at Lv1 poses no issues since all of them are viable. Prioritize leveling Skill 1 since it contributes to his overall survivability. |
| Step 2:Lv.4 Lv.6 Lv.1 Recommended Skill Levels for general use. When Skill 2 is Lv6, its cooldown is reduced, allowing him to survive more easily. |
| Step 3:Lv.9 Lv.6 Lv.6 Specialized Setup. Combined with his Noble Phantasm's DEF buff, increasing the multipliers of his Skill 1 and 2 allows him to tank more hits by relying on the DEF buffs. Since this allows him to survive longer, it's recommended to upgrade them if you have the materials. |
