Fully Upgrading Unlocks Exclusive Effect

  1. Purchase all of the upgrade
  2. Use Exclusive Upgrade Tickets

Exclusive Effect upgrades can be unlocked when certain conditions are met. These are available after Chapter 9, while Exclusive Upgrade Tickets can be traded for at Merchants after Chapter 7.

What Are Exclusive Effects?

Exclusive Effects are the final stage of upgrades for weapons and they differ between each of the weapons. Each weapon gets their own performance boost through this and it promptly enhances the performance of the weapon!

Upgrade Costs Will Be Reflected In Sale Price

Weapons That Are No Longer Used Can Be Sold

The more advanced the weapon upgrades are, the more expensive the weapon will be when sold. Since it is not often that two weapons of the same type are used, it's recommended to sell your previous weapons when you obtain their upgraded versions. You can then focus on upgrading the better weapon!

Do Not Sell If It Simply Does Not Fit In Your Case

If you cannot fit a weapon into your case, it is better to deposit it in your equipment vault at the Typewriters instead of selling them.

Sold Weapons Can Be Repurchased

Weapons that have been sold can be bought back from the "BUY" > "REPURCHASE" tab so there is no need to worry when aiming for completion. When you repurchase a weapon, you will receive it in its initial state and will be unmodified.

Notes On Weapon Upgrades

Modifications Cannot Be Undone

You cannot reset or undo modifications after they have been made. It's best to think twice about which items to modify first before doing so.

Does Not Refill Ammo When You Upgrade

In the original RE4 game, you get a filled out magazine whenever you upgrade a weapon. However, in the RE4 Remake, the magazine will remain in the same state when you upgrade it.
