Clockwork Castellan Locations - Village

One Clockwork Castellan can be found per chapter. Some can be backtracked to, but it is recommended to destroy them as you progress through each chapter. This is due to some areas being closed off when you get to certain points in the game.
Chapter 1: Ceiling Of The Shed At The Lakeside Settlement

The Clockwork Castellan can be found on the ceiling of a shed with a broken room in the Lakeside Settlement. You can freely destroy it once you clear our the enemies in the surrounding areas.

Chapter 2: On The Way To The Village Chief's Manor

It is in the shed on the way to the Village Chief's Manor from the Abandoned Factory. There is also a file nearby that mentions Clockwork Castellans in an area in the Valley which you cannot proceed to without first obtaining the Hexagonal Emblem.

Chapter 3: Down The Ladder At The Back Of The Shooting Range

Go down the ladder on the Lake side in the area where the Merchant and the Shooting Range are. Go to the right and look for it on the crates at the dead end.

Chapter 4: Lakeside Settlement → Go To The Forest Altar

Use the Insignia Key to go through the locked door in the Lakeside Settlement then climb up the ladder to reach the altar in the forest. Beyond the dead body on the altar, there is a fence with three horizontal rows of trees where you can find the Clockwork Castellan behind it. This is the area where you can go when you are able to ride the boat.

Chapter 5: Attic In The Village Chief's Manor

The Clockwork Castellan is located in the Village Chief's Manor, but it requires climbing up the Attic, which you can only do when you have Ashley with you. It is also the location of the "A Savage Mutt" Blue Request Note so you can do them together.

- Enter the room on the second floor
- Check the paintings on the right wall
- Use the lever
- Work with Ashley to climb up the ladder

Chapter 6: By The Fire Near The Checkpoint

On the way to the checkpoint, after passing through a narrow path where enemies will appear, you will find a hut. This is where you can obtain the "Chalice of Atonement" treasure. A little further from the hut, on the other side of the cliff, there is a bonfire with a Clockwork Castellan by it.

One Clockwork Castellan can be found per chapter. It is recommended to find and destroy them as you progress through each chapter since the ones in Chapter 10 and Chapter 11 cannot be obtained once you move on. The others can still be obtained in Chapter 12.

It is located in the room just after going up from the Dungeons after you defeat the Garrador. This is right before the Sword and Door puzzle. It can be backtracked to during Chapter 8.

Chapter 8: The Tower To Left Of Where You Fight The Iron Giant

Go left from where the Iron Giant appears, then climb the ladder at the end and go left. It can be backtracked to in Chapter 9.

- Go to the rooftop where the Iron Giant appears
- Jump down from the left side as seen on the map (opposite direction to the regular route)
- Climb the ladder in front of you
- Go clockwise to the end of the road

Navigate the Courtyard made until you get to the bottom of the stairs.

After you go up from the Depths and proceed through the tunnel, you will find yourself in front of an Iron Gate. There is Merchant nearby. Remember to save during the Depths since you cannot re-enter after escaping from there.

It is located on the northwest end of the first floor of the Clock Tower. It's not hidden by anything, so it's pretty easy to find.

One Clockwork Castellan can be found per chapter. The Island is basically a single, straight path so make sure to find and destroy them as you go through them.

The Clockwork Castellan are in the square in front of Surveillance. It is visible between the vehicles. Enemies gather around here so take them out first before going after the Clockwork Castellan.

It is on the way to escape from the Island after defeating the last boss. Since there is a time limit, you have no time to waste looking for it, so be sure to save the data right before you go.

What To Do If You Miss A Clockwork Castellan
Go Back Through Per Chapter Save Data
▲ Create a Save Data at the start of each chapter
The collection status of the Clockwork Castellans is shared across all of your Save Files. If you save frequently, you can go back to previous chapters and search for Clockwork Castellans that you missed. Note that if you destroy a Clockwork Castellans, it is counted in the progress even if you do not save.
It Doesn't Matter If You Go Find Them In A Second Playthrough
Once you destroy them, you are good to go so when you start a second playthrough, the Clockwork Castellans you destroyed in your first playthrough are no longer there. You have to go through the same areas again, so if you want to collect them in the second playthrough instead, it is also okay.

Get Primal Knife And Trophy
If you destroy all the Clockwork Castellans, you will obtain the Revolution Wind-up trophy and unlock the Primal Knife. You can buy the Primal Knife for 1,000CP at the Extra Content Shop. After buying it, you can access any data by organizing your inventory using the Typewriter.

Primal Knife's Ability
The Primal Knife is a knife that can have infinite durability with an Exclusive Upgrade. It is very useful for high difficulty capture and knife clearing. Note that before Exclusive Upgrade, it is just a plain knife however.
One Clockwork Castellans Per Chapter
The number of Chapters and Clockwork Castellans are both 16. With each chapter you advance, the number of Clockwork Castellans you can find increases by one. Collected Clockwork Castellans will be mark them on the results screen of each chapter.
How To Check For Missing Clockwork Castellan
- OPTION screen (or game start screen) --> RESULT
- If there is a Clockwork Castellan Icon next to the chapter, it means you already collected it in that chapter
Note That You Can't Destroy It When You Switch Areas
In the game, there are three sections: Chapter 1-6, Chapter 7-12, and Chapter 13-16, and you can't return to previous areas once you've moved on. Additionally, there may be areas that become inaccessible as you progress through the story.
For completion, it is recommended to destroy the Clockwork Castellans in each chapter.
