Recommended Settings Guide

The Default Settings Are Sufficient

If there is no special preference, it is recommended to play with the default settings. If you have played without changing the settings in RE2 and RE3, you can play with the default settings without any problems.

Brightness Adjustment For Better Visibility

DefaultMax Brightness

In the RE series, the dimmed lighting makes it difficult to search for and identify enemies. If you brighten the screen using the Brightness Adjustment, you will be able to see clearly in the dark. But too much light might ruin the horror mood.

Use the Aim Assist, If You're Not Good At Shooting

The Aim Assist function allows you to aim in the direction of the enemy when holding the weapon. This is recommended for those who are not good at shooting and have difficulty in aiming. For those who are used to it, it might be a distraction, so you should try it out.

Difficulty Settings - How To Change Level & Scaling

Control Settings Are Changeable

In the Options, you can also change the button settings of the controller from 6 different types. It is possible to set the buttons for Quick Turn, Run, and other actions, so adjust them to your preference.Control Settings Guide

It is recommended to set another button for Quick Turn

In the default settings, the Quick Turn (turn around) is set to R1. Since it is the same as the Run button, the Quick Turn can be accidentally triggered if you are not used to it. If you are familiar with the previous RE series, you can set the X button to Quick Turn.

Can Be Reset With △ Button

All the settings can be reset with the △ Button to the default. If you are in trouble after changing the settings too much, try resetting.

Advanced Graphics Settings Are Only Available On PC

Only the PC version has a "Graphics" section in the Options menu. It is possible to customize detailed graphics settings such as Resolution and Refresh Rate to match the specifications of the PC you are using.

How To Change the Settings

Can Be Changed From the Start Screen

The information here is based on the Demo version.

The settings can be changed by selecting "OPTIONS" on the start screen. Set them up before playing the game.

Also Can Be Changed From the Pause Menu

If you feel something is off while playing the game, you can also change the settings from the Pause menu. This is useful to make adjustments while actually playing the game. Note, however, that some settings cannot be changed.
