How To Unlock Shelves & Cabinets
Use The Small Key
The Small Key is needed to open locked shelves inside the villages and also in other places. Locked shelves or cabinets mostly appear in Chapter 1, however, the Small Key can only be obtained after completing Chapter 2. You can still go back to these locked items to unlock them once you have obtained the corresponding keys.
Small Keys Are One Time Use Only
These small keys will disappear after use, therefore, you can only open the shelves with the small keys you have in your inventory, so be careful whenever you open the shelves in the game!

Unlock Wayshrines
Use The Old Wayshrine Keys
To open the Wayshrine that you will encounter inside the villages, you need the Old Wayshrine Key. This Old Wayshrine Key is obtainable after completing Chapter 4. The ones from the early stages of the chapters can be collected later as well.
Old Wayshrine Key Can Be Used Multiple Times
Unlike the Small Keys, the Old Wayshrine Key does not disappear after use so you can open more Wayshrines as many times as you like.
Old Wayshrine Key Will Not Disappear If Used
Unlike the Small Key, the Old Wayshrine Key does not disappear after you use it. You can use the Old Wayshrine as much as you like, however, they will become unavailable as the event progresses, so make sure to get all the Old Wayshrine before completing certain chapters in the game!

How To Unlock Squared Slot Chests?
Use The Cubic Device
Cubic Device is needed to open a treasure chest that has a square slot. This Cubic Device can be obtained while progressing in Chapter 9.
Cubic Device Will Not Disappear If Used
Same with the Old Wayshrine Key, the Cubic Device will not disappear after you use it. Once all the chests or shelves are opened, they can be sold to Merchants for additional funds.
Rotate According To The Slot Pattern
Each slot has a triangular or semicircular projection, so this is why it is necessary to fit the object according to the shape of the projection and rotate the object to make it fit just right.
How To Unlock Chest With Decorated Keyhole?
Use Bunch Of Keys
Bunch of Keys is needed to open the treasure chest with a Decorated Keyhole decoration, which can be obtained during Ashley's part in Chapter 9, but it will not be carried over up to Leon's part.
Collect The Bunch Of Keys During Ashley's Part
The Bunch of Keys cannot be carried over to Leon's part (Chapter 10). You will not be able to unlock the treasure chests that you have not yet opened. Better to prioritize collecting all of them first before proceeding to Leon.
Use The Bunch Of Keys To The Corresponding Keyholes
The Bunch of Keys has four keys bundled together. The treasure chest can be unlocked when you use the corresponding keys. Use the key that matches the decoration of the Decorated Keyholes. However, there is no penalty if you make a mistake.

Obtain Various Items
Locked places often contain cash items that can be combined with treasure chests, since money is needed for weapon upgrades, etc., Prioritize collecting cash items as much as possible!
It Also Contains Some Weapons
The square slot shelf in the Library inside the Castle contains a CQBR Assault Rifle. It is not an essential item, but you can get it for free, so much better to get it as well.
