Every Third Shot Does Triple Damage
The Moonshot is a weapon that can do high bursts of damage in a single shot since every third shot damage is multiplied by 3. This makes its DPS one of the highest in the game.

What makes the Moonshot a very viable weapon is not only its damage, but its handling. Its recoil is very manageable and it's accurate when looking down sights.

Since the Moonfire is exclusive to the Takedown at Maliwan's Blacksite, the simplest way of getting it is to keep playing the Takedown. Survive until you get to Wotan the Invincible.
Defeat Wotan the Invincible
Wotan the Invincible is the raid boss of the Takedown at Maliwan's Blacksite. Although the Moonshot is exclusive to its loot pool, there's a chance that the weapon won't drop when it is defeated.
