Complete the Main Story Mission 21 "The Plate of the Lakes"
Head to Lake Verity
Enter the cave and fight Mesprit
Capture Mesprit

Spawns Inside Lake Verity

Mesprit spawns inside the cave of Lake Mesprit at the Obsidian Fieldlands. You need to battle it first in order to capture it.

Respawns When Defeated

Since the mission requires you to capture Mesprit, it will continue to respawn even if you defeat it.

The recommended nature to have is Modest to increase Special Attack or Timid to increase Speed. Mesprit is a well-balanced Pokemon so most natures are okay except for the ones that raise Attack.

How To Change Nature

Unlock Mesprit's Mission
Main Mission Guide - The Plate of the Lakes
Go to Lake Verity
※Leave One Opening In Your Pokemon Team
Disable autosave
Save in front of the cave entrance
Battle and catch Mesprit
Check Mesprit's nature
If you did not get the nature you want, close the game and restart it
Repeat steps ⑤ to ⑦ until you get the nature you want

Disable Autosave

Make sure to disable autosave before catching Mesprit. Once you catch Mesprit, the game will autosave and you will not be able to pick Mesprit's nature.

Leave One Opening In Your Pokemon Team

If you capture a Pokemon while your Pokemon team is full, they will automatically be sent to the pasture. This makes it longer to check what Mesprit's nature is instead of checking it right after catching it.

Can Be Changed With Mints

After completing other requests, you will be able to unlock Mints which can be used to manually change a Pokemon's nature.
