Tips For Beating Greylorm

Greylorm Attack Patterns

Aether Breath While surfaced, the Worm Boss releases a fiery Aether laser in a sweeping motion. You must evade these attacks to avoid debilitating effects and immense damage.
Lunge Attacks It is positioned mostly in one place. However, keep your distance as it can swiftly close the gap and strike a relentless snake bite attack on its unfortunate target.
Burrow The Worm Boss swiftly burrows into the ground and disappears from sight. You must remain vigilant for its resurfacing as you can deal damage when it suddenly appears in your location.

*Only the confirmed patterns are listed here.

Change Parachute Settings To Auto-Deploy

parachute auto-deploy settings

The Greylorm will sometimes try to swallow you and make you bounce up in the sky. If you don't deploy your parachute when this happens, you will be downed. To avoid this, change your settings to Auto-Deploy your Parachute.

How To Change Parachute Settings

Go to Settings and choose Mouse & Keyboard or Controller, whichever you're using, and switch to the Gameplay tab (push L1, R1 on PS) and changing the Parachute Auto-Deploy to "Always".

Multiplayer Is Recommended Due To The Large Number Of Enemies

Taking on the boss in multiplayer is a more strategic and efficient way to approach it as the collective firepower and tactical synergy of a well-coordinated team are better in overcoming the additional challenges from the undead attacks during the Boss Fight.

Take Advantage Of Killstreaks

Maximize the benefits of killstreaks to gain a significant advantage like using the Sentry Gun which proves to be a formidable force, especially when dealing with the undead horde. Setting up several of them is a highly recommended strategy, as it greatly improves the overall situation. Additionally, the Juggernaut offers a lifeline in critical moments, providing a chance to dodge death at crucial times.

Set Up Sentry Guns Before Activating Refractor

Place Sentry Guns

Before activating the refractor to emerge the Greylorm, you will want to set all of your Sentry Guns. If you activate the Refractor without setting your Sentry Guns, then you will struggle to place them and they might go to waste.

Use Pack-a-Punch 3 Weapon

When facing the Greylorm Boss, you should also be prepared to encounter Level 3 Normal and Special Zombies. To ensure your survival, it is recommended that you have the Pack-a-Punch 3 Weapon. Upgrade your Weapon to Level 3 to boost its firepower and gain a significant advantage over the increasingly difficult enemies.

Best Guns and Weapons For Zombies

Zombie Countermeasures

When dealing with an overwhelming number of the undead, use explosives to create openings for escape or for better positioning. Depending on the situation, you can use Decoy Grenade for distraction, Cymbal Monkey Bomb for crowd control, or LT53 Kazimir for tactical advantage by creating chokepoints and funneling the undead movement strategically.

It's A Good Idea To Stock Up On Gas Masks

It is highly recommended to carry enough gas masks while entering the Aether Storm. Exposure to this environment without a gas mask can lead to sustained damage, making it necessary to keep a backup of at least 1 to 2 gas masks for better protection and survival.

Recharge Your Gasmask With Refill Ammo Containers

If your Gas mask start losing its effects, you can charge them at the Refill Ammo Containers. Do this frequently so you don't lose your Gas Mask inside the Aether Storm.

How To Exfil After Defeating Greylorm

Go Through Triangular Portal

Purple Triangular Portal

After defeating Greylorm, a glowing triangular portal will appear. You can successfully Exfil by going through the portal, no need to head to an Exfil spot.
