Can You Exfil Ray Guns?
It Is Not Possible To Exfil Ray Guns Found During The Match
It is possible to find a fully assembled Ray Gun from the Mystery Box or Reward Rifts in Operation Deadbolt. However, these Ray Guns are dispensable as it can only be used during the match. They cannot be brought back with a successful Exfil.
Discovered Ray Guns Cannot Be Carried Over Unless Crafted
Any Ray Guns obtained during the match will be converted into Experience Points (XP) instead when you successfully Exfil. You won't be able to obtain and use it in the next match unless you specifically obtain the Ray Gun Schematic and craft the weapon.
Recommended To Obtain The Ray Gun Schematic
You will need to find the Ray Gun Schematic and successfully Exfil to obtain the blueprint to craft the Ray Gun weapon. This will allow you to use it repeatedly.
Ray Gun Schematics May Be Found In Mid Or High Threat Zones
The Ray Gun Weapon Schematics can be obtained from Reward Rifts in the Mid or High Threat Zone (Orange or Red Zones) although the probability of finding it is low.
Red Zone StrategyBest Way To Get The Ray Gun Schematic
This guide introduces two aquisition methods: one for solo play and another for co-op play.
1. When Playing Solo
The following approach lets you take down the Red Zone boss solo, but it can get risky even when using the Juggernaut so it's recommended only if you think you are skilled enough to take on this challenge alone. If you are quite new, try to invite friends and use the co-op strategy explained in ▼Second Method which is much safer.
- Collect 10,000 Essence in the White Zone.
- To avoid encounters with enemies, head to the Red Zone by boat and look for the nearest Buy Station accessible from the river.
- Purchase Juggernaut at the Buy Station in the Red Zone
*If Decoy Grenades are unlocked, bring them along. If you feel surrounded by zombies, throwing a Decoy Grenade can divert their attention.
*If you don't have Decoy Grenades, when you're in danger of being surrounded by zombies, enter the river and wait for the threat to pass. Once you reach the opposite bank (Orange Zone), zombies that cannot enter the water will start moving in the other direction, so take that opportunity to purchase the Juggernaut. - Escape to the Orange Zone and find a vehicle. Set a waypoint for the Eliminate Contract in the Red Zone. Head over to that location by car.
- After accepting the contract, mark the target on the map and use the vehicle to get to the target.
- Use the Juggernaut, get in a car and endure until the drop.
- Once Juggernaut is available, exit the car and shoot as many bullets as possible at the boss.
*The Juggernaut has a time limit, and depending on the boss, if you miss too many shots, you may not be able to defeat it, so be cautious. - Check the Rift, collect the rewards, and head to the Exfil point.
*If you couldn't obtain the Ray Gun Schematic, restart from Step 1.
Step 2: If There Is No Buy Station Along The River
If there's no Buy Station by the river in the Red Zone, use a car to reach one that's easily accessible. If surrounded by zombies, either use the car to escape or use a Decoy Grenade to temporarily distract them.
Step 4: It's Best To Accept Eliminate Contracts For The Mega Abomination
The Ray Gun Schematic is a common Mega Abomination drop from Eliminate Bounty Target Contracts. These contracts are random, so consider accepting other Elimination Contracts and cancelling them immediately until the Mega Abomination Elimination Contract appears.

2. When Playing In Co-op
This method requires upgrading weapons with Pack-a-Punch to level 3 although some players may be able to fare even with level 2 if they're confident. This might take some time and whether you can obtain a Wonder Weapon depends on luck. However, there's a high chance you can accomplish this with consistent team effort.
- Collect 5,000 Essence in the White Zone.
- Go to the Red High Threat Zone and purchase a weapon from a Wall Buy.
*Take a boat to the Red Zone to avoid encountering enemies then search for a Wall Buy that is easily accessible from the riverfront.
*If Decoy Grenades are unlocked, bring them along as they can be used as an escape tool. To avoid being surrounded by zombies, throwing a Decoy Grenade can divert their attention. - Collect more Essence in the Orange Zone and use the Pack-a-Punch to upgrade your weapon to Level 3 (or Level 2 if you're experienced enough.)
*Use an Aetherium Crystal if you have it. - Get lots of Armor Plates at a Buy Station.
- Go to the Red Zone to complete Eliminate Contracts and defeat bosses.

Ray Gun Can Be Crafted In The Schematic Crafting Screen
From the lobby screen, navigate to the Gear → Rucksack's + Mark (Add Item) → Schematic Crafting → Wonder Weapons to use the Ray Gun Schematic and craft the weapon.
It Can Be Used Once Every 48 Hours
The Ray Gun and Wonder Weapon Schematics have a 48-hour cooldown time. If you craft a Wonder Weapon, it vanishes after one game, even if you Exfil safely. You must wait 48 hours to use it again.
