How To Complete Spring Cleaning Mission

Objectives Of Spring Cleaning Mission

The main objective of Spring Cleaning, Act 3 Tier 4 Mission:

• Clean an Infested Stronghold in the High Threat Zone.

This mission can be quite difficult to complete even with a full squad. Use the guide below to help you complete the mission solo.

How To Complete The Mission

Approach The Stronghold From The River

The Stronghold you want to clear is on the east edge of the Red Zone, as marked in the map above. You can approach it from the east Orange Zone by crossing the river.

1. Use The Zipline To Access The Stronghold

You will find a small shed with a Zipline on the roof that gives you easy access to the Stronghold. The roof is a bit high, but you can climb on top by jumping from the small hill right behind it.

2. Use The Decoy Grenades, Destroy A Couple Cysts And Swim Back

Before you go in, throw a Decoy Grenade away from the building. This will give you time to head in to destroy a couple of Cysts. As soon as you destroy 2 or 3, immediately head outside and swim back across the river. The zombies can easily surround you if you try to get more.

3. Lure The Zombies Across The River, Then Go Back

Once you get back to the other side, the zombies will come chasing you from across the bridge in the south. Wait until you get them as close to your position as possible. By luring them to this side, you will have more time before they can come back to the Stronghold.

4. Repeat The Steps 1-3 Until You Run Out Of Decoy Grenades

Once the zombies are lured away from the Stronghold, use the Zipline to go back and repeat the steps. Remember to use your Decoy Grenade every time before going in the Stronghold.

5. Go To The Ammo Cache To Replenish Decoy Grenades

The December 6th Season 1 update reduced the number of Decoy Grenades that can be stacked or equipped to 2.

There is often an Ammo Cache south of your position. You can only carry 2 Decoy Grenades, so go here to replenish your Decoy Grenades once you run out as those are a necessity for this strategy. If this Ammo Cache doesn't spawn, go to the nearest one you can find.

Weapons And Equipment

Pack-a-Punch

You won't need to fight any Level 3 zombies so Pack-a-Punch your weapon to Level 2 and that should be enough.

Field Upgrade

Aether Shroud is highly recommended for this strategy. Going across the river and using the Decoy Grenades should be enough to lure the zombies away, but having the Aether Shroud can save you in an emergency.

Ammo Mods

We also recommend using the Brain Rot Ammo Mod. Having a friendly zombie can help fill up your Field Upgrade gauge by killing other zombies for you.

Rewards For Spring Cleaning

When you complete the mission, you will receive a Death Rig Sticker and 2,500 XP.
