What Is The Locked Diary: How To Use
Key Item Needed To Enter The Dark Aethal Rift
The Locked Diary is a key item that you place on top of a Rift Pedestal with a Cryo Freeze Mark on it. The Locked Diary is sealed with an Icy Mist, which indicates the pedestal that matches it is the one marked with a Cryo.
Gather 4 Key Items To Spawn A Mega Abomination
There are also 3 other keys, making 4 in total. By placing all 4 keys on the correct pedestal you summon a Mega Abomination, an enemy that drops a Sigil which is used to open The Dark Aethel Rift.

With Just The Locked Diary, The Mega Abomination Won't Spawn
There are a total of 4 keys, and you will need to have all 4 for it to work. The Locked Diary by itself will not summon the Mega Abomination.
Do NOT Place The Locked Diary Until You Have All 4
To summon the Mawloom, you will need 4 Keys that match each of the markings on the Pedestals. Once you place the Locked Diary on the Pedestal, you will not be able to pick it back up and it will disappear in the next match. Due to this, do not place the key item on the pedestal until you have all 4 Keys.

How To Use Locked Diary
There are a total of 4 Pedestals for the Dark Aether Rift, which are all marked differently. A Skull, Flame, Ice, and Lightning indicates which key is needed. Place The Locked Diary on the one with the Ice mark.
Dark Aether Rift Location
The Dark Aether Rift is marked as a triangle on the map in Zombies. When you get close to it, it will look like a purple tornado type smoke.
How To Get Locked Diary
Defeat The Gorm'gant
When you defeat the Gorm'gant Aether Worm on the Act 4 Bad Signal Mission in Zombies, you will receive a fixed Locked Diary. You can get as many as you want, by completing the Bad Signal mission repeatedly.
