Prepare Lightning Affinity Weapons

Augur Detail Weak in Lightning

The Nightreign Augur is weak to Lightning Affinity. Since it's a boss with very high HP, prepare Lightning Affinity weapons to increase damage efficiency.

Obtain Lightning Affinity Weapons in Ruins with a Lightning icon

Obtain Lightning Affinity Weapons in Ruins with a Lightning icon

The Affinity is displayed at the bottom right of the base icon on the map. Lightning Affinity weapons are easier to obtain at bases where the Lightning icon is displayed so be sure to clear them by the final day.

Ironeye is Recommended as a Character

Ironeye

In the fight against the Augur, dealing with airborne mobs is crucial. With Ironeye, you can quickly deal with mobs, so it's recommended to include at least one in your party.

Ironeye Class Guide - Skill, Ability & Art

Prioritize Acquiring Wide-Range Attacks for Characters Other Than Ironeye

For characters other than Ironeye, you will need a way to attack a wide airborne area to deal with mobs. If you find abilities like generating an Ice Storm with a dash, or Protection or Weapon Skills that can attack a wide area, prioritize acquiring them.

Equip Relics Effective Against the Boss

Lightning Attack Up

Since the boss fight is very difficult, it's recommended to equip Relics with the boss in mind. Since there are many mobs, prioritize Relics that activate upon defeating an enemy, or Relics that can enhance firepower like "Improved Lightning Attack Power".

Increase Sacred Flasks at a Church

Increase Sacred Flasks at a Church

To increase the number of Heals, make sure to increase your Sacred Flasks. Sacred Flasks can be increased at a Church, and you can check its location on the map.

Church Locations and What You Can Do

Prepare "Warming Stones"

In the area just before the boss, you can purchase various items with Runes. The more Heal options you have, the easier it is to clear, so purchase as many "Warming Stones" as possible.

Augur (Maris) Boss Strategy and Attack Patterns

1.Quickly deal with black Summons
2.Deal with ground tentacles early
3.Dodge water attacks by rolling
4.Don't approach when the boss inhales air
5.Counter Sleep attacks by downing it or recovering HP
6.Keep your distance when the boss floats high

In the Nightreign Augur guide, dealing with mobs is crucial. Additionally, it performs multiple wide-range attacks, so deal with them appropriately to reduce damage taken.

Quickly Deal with Black Summons

Black circular blobs that the boss summons will approach and explode. Deal with them immediately upon their appearance. When the summons are defeated, they release a projectile that attacks the boss. It is recommended to wipe them out with wide-range attacks.

Deal with Ground Tentacles Quickly

Tentacles that sprout from the ground attack nearby characters. They don't disappear if left alone and will attack each time you get close, so deal with them quickly.

Dodge Water Attacks by Rolling

The boss's water attacks have a wide range, making them difficult to avoid by just moving. Time your rolls to dodge them.

Don't Approach When the Boss Inhales Air

After the boss looks down and inhales air, it attacks the surroundings with a shockwave. If you see it inhaling air, don't approach carelessly; move away to avoid the shockwave.

Counter Sleep Attacks by Downing It or Recovering HP

When the boss looks up and starts emitting a wave, the Sleep gauge will begin to accumulate. When the gauge fills, you'll enter a Sleep state, and your HP will be rapidly depleted by continuous damage. When it starts emitting the wave, deal heavy damage to down it, or recover enough HP to withstand it.

Keep Your Distance When the Boss Floats High

After the boss floats high up, it drops glowing droplets. These glowing droplets land about 10 seconds after appearing and cause an explosion with a very wide range. Once you confirm the boss has floated up, immediately create distance.

Glowing Droplets Can Be Destroyed

The glowing droplets can be destroyed with ranged attacks. The window is short, but if you have multiple characters capable of ranged attacks, try to destroy them.
