Can You Change the Difficulty?
Difficulty Is Fixed

There is no difficulty setting in Nightreign, so the difficulty cannot be changed. The strength of enemies and bosses is uniform for all players.
Relics Can Slightly Ease Difficulty

By equipping your character with Relics, you can enhance their stats, Character Skills, and more. If your character becomes even a little stronger, it will be that much easier to progress. If you can obtain Relics with good effects, it's possible to effectively lower the difficulty.

More Difficult Than the Base Game Overall

Nightreign, considering its roguelike and multiplayer elements, is considered more difficult than the main Elden Ring game. Since you can't fight with your preferred weapons or builds, you need to build and execute a route or course of action within the first one to two days while also understanding the boss's behavior —aspects which were not required in the main game.
Solo Play Difficulty Is Even Higher

It is also possible to play Nightreign Solo. However, although enemy stats are lowered, progression elements like leveling up and weapon collecting remain the same, and due to the reduced number of players, attacks will be concentrated on you, so you must withstand these fierce enemy assaults alone. The difficulty increases significantly, making it ideal for those who want to test their skills further.
