How To Unlock Duchess & Unlock Conditions

To unlock Duchess in Elden Ring Nightreign, you must first obtain Old Pocketwatch. After obtaining the item, give the item to the hooded girl to unlock Dutches.

Obtain The Old Pocketwatch

To unlock Duchess in Nightreign, you first need to obtain the Old Pocketwatch. You can get this on the first day even after losing.

Give The Old Pocketwatch To The Hooded Girl

Once you obtain the Old Pocketwatch, show it to the hooded girl at the Roundtable Hold. The Old Pocketwatch can be equipped as a Relic, and it won't disappear even after showing it to the girl, so you can still equip it as a Relic.

Duchess Will Be Unlocked

Upon showing the Old Pocketwatch to the hooded girl at the Roundtable Hold, the Duchess will finally be unlocked, and you will be able to use Duchess.

Duchess Is Important To Unlock Revenant

Once you unlock the Duchess, you will be able to advance to the Revenant unlock event mission. Once you unlock Duchess, you can proceed with unlocking Revenant as well.

Her Passive Makes Her Invisible

The Duchess can use her Ultimate Art to make herself and nearby allies invisible, preventing detection by enemies, including bosses. While invisible, even if you attack stealthily, enemies will not notice you. It will allow you to aim for Critical Strikes against mobs and continuous damage against tough enemies. It's also perfect for when allies are in low HP, you can regroup using this skill.

High Attack Frequency Pairs Well With Status Ailment Weapons

Duchess synergizes well with a Dexterity-based weapons that have a high attack frequency, and can contribute to damage with weapons that inflict status ailments like Blood Loss. She also has consecutive dodges, making her strong at fighting while evading enemy attacks.

The Duchess in the Elden Ring Nightreign is a character known for her consecutive dodges and powerful attacks. With her Character Skill, she can replicate an ally's attack to aim for massive damage, and with her Ultimate Art, she can make allies invisible for safe maneuvering.

Leverage Duchess' Evasion

Duchess' maneuverability makes her especially effective in tricky battles that require a lot of evading since she is able to dodge twice in a row with a reduced stamina cost. Utilize this ability to quickly close the distance or retreat to safety.

Use Skill to Double Damage

Duchess' "Restage" recreates the damage recently inflicted on enemies, including damage dealt by allies, and deals the same damage again. If your allies cast powerful abilities, stay near enough to cast Restage and essentially double the damage dealt.

Equip Weapons with Status Ailments

Duchess is proficient with Dex-based weapons, which usually have attack animations with numerous hits. These numerous attacks make it very easy for Duchess to inflict status ailments like Bleed and Poison with certain weapons.

Grant Invisibility to Allies

Duchess' "Finale" makes all allies invisible for the duration of its effect. While invisible, enemies will not react to player actions such as attacks, healing, or reviving making it the perfect tool for both offensive and defensive play.

Still Susceptible to Damage

Unlike the Guardian's Wings of Salvation, players under the effects of Finale can still take damage from AoE attacks or environmental hazards. So remain vigilant and watch where you're standing.
