Wylder's Recommended Playstyle
Support Your Team During the Early Game
Wylder's powerful Onslaught Stake Ultimate deals significant amounts of damage even at low levels. During the early stages of the game, Wylder should take the lead in dealing with stronger enemies to supply runes to the Duchess and the Recluse, who have a comparatively low HP stat.
Sixth Sense Prevents Death Once
Wylder's passive ability prevents them from taking fatal damage once per game. If the party does not include a Guardian, leverage this layer of protection by drawing enemy attention away from you team.
Use the Claw Shot to Create Openings
The Wylder's Claw Shot can draw in small enemies and frighten medium-sized ones, creating opportunities for attack. Against large enemies, you could potentially use the Claw Shot to approach from an opposite direction to use powerful attacks with long wind-ups.
Reach Downed Allies
Because the Claw Shot can also be used as a movement tool, the Wylder can aim at the ground near downed allies to quickly approach and revive them.
Fully-Charge Ultimate Art
Onslaught Stake deals more damage the longer you can charge it. During the activation, the Wylder becomes invincible, so make sure to fully-charge the stake before launching it at enemies.
Stagger Enemies Using Ultimate
Onslaught Stake is not only powerful, but it also deals heavy damage to the target's Stance
, making it a powerful staggering tool for bosses and tough enemies. Follow-up this attack with a Critical Strike to quickly reduce a foe's HP.
Restage Combo
The Duchess' "Restage" character skill replicates any recent damage dealt in her immediate surroundings. Using this skill in conjunction with an Onslaught Stake attack results in A LOT of damage.
