The Nightreign Wylder is an excellent character due to the high damage + Stance breaking from their Ultimate Art "Onslaught Stake". They can nullify a near-death state once, and their Character Skill, which can pull enemies or make them flinch, makes them easy to maneuver.
Aim for High Damage with a Fully Charged Ultimate Art
The Wylder's Ultimate Art "Onslaught Stake" is enhanced in power and range according to the charge time. During the Ultimate Art's activation, you become invincible and don't need to worry about being attacked, so try to charge it to the maximum before activating.
Break Their Stance to Connect with a Critical Hit
"Onslaught Stake" is excellent not only for its power but also for its Stance breaking, making it easy to break the stance of even bosses. Connect it directly to a Critical Hit to significantly reduce the enemy's HP.
Good Synergy with Duchess's Character Skill
The Duchess's Character Skill "Restage" replicates the damage dealt just before, including by allies, so if it's used after unleashing "Onslaught Stake", you can deal massive damage.
Create Attack Opportunities with Character Skill
The Wylder's Character Skill "Claw Shot" can pull small enemies or make medium-sized enemies flinch, creating attack opportunities. Against large enemies, you can instead approach them quickly and connect with a powerful Ultimate Art attack.
Also Effective When Reviving Allies
"Claw Shot" can be fired into the ground to move to that location. If an ally is near death, fire it at the ground nearby to quickly move and revive them.
Avoid Being Downed Once with Sixth Sense
The Wylder, with their Passive Ability "Sixth Sense", can nullify damage that would cause a near death state once. If there are no allies to draw the aggro of enemies like the Guardian, utilize the survivability from Sixth Sense and proactively draw the enemy's attention.
