Accessible from Roundtable Hold
The Sparring Grounds in Elden Ring Nightreign can be accessed from Roundtable Hold. The Sparring Grounds are also available during the network test.

Open the map with the touchpad and select 'Sparring Grounds' to warp there instantly. It’s a fast and convenient way to travel.

Practice Damage, Skills, and Ultimate Arts
In Elden Ring Nightreign’s 'Sparring Grounds,' you can test and practice combat mechanics. You can attack with weapons, switch characters, and try out each character’s Character Skills and Ultimate Arts while checking damage output.
Choose from 4 Characters in the Network Test

During the network test last Feb 14, 2025 (PST), you can choose from four characters: 'Wylder', 'Guardian', 'Duchess', and 'Recluse'.

At the center of the Sparring Grounds, you’ll find downed fodder enemies. Approach and press △ to activate them. Once active, they’ll attack, letting you practice dodging, guarding, and other real combat techniques.
Try Out Various Weapons and Items
Inside the tents at the Sparring Grounds, you’ll find a treasure chest containing 'Armaments', 'Weapon Skills / Sorcery / Incantations', and 'Consumables'. You can try them out freely before entering a match. Any equipment changed at Roundtable Hold will reset once the Expedition begins.
Learn Basic and Character Controls with the Handbook
Alongside equipment, you’ll also find a 'Handbook' in the treasure chests. The Handbook lets you review basic controls, tactical operations, and unique character abilities.

In the Sparring Grounds, you can switch characters, change their level, and adjust settings for Character Skills and Ultimate Arts. Open the Sparring Grounds menu by pressing the touchpad.
