Position in its Hind Legs
Nightreign's Ancient Dragon is easier to avoid attacks like Slash and Fire Breath attack if you position yourself around its hind legs. However, since it changes direction with each attack, try to use attacks with small openings and stick close to its hind legs.

Watch the Ground to Dodge the Thunderbolt
*The video above shows an attack from the main Elden Ring game.
In its Charged State, it periodically rains Lighting in the surrounding area. The areas where the attack will land will glow just before, so move to avoid the light on the ground.
Keep your Distance to Avoid the Lighting Sweep
The sweeping attack with a Thunder-wreathed hand will cause a follow-up Thunder attack where it swept. If you approach immediately after the sweep, you'll be hit by the follow-up Thunder attack, so keep your distance, avoid the follow-up, and then approach.
Move to its Tail to Dodge the Fire Breath
For Breath Attack aimed at its hands or feet, you can avoid them by retreating to its tail. If it raises its upper body, be ready to move at any time.
Follow-up Attack During Lighting Sword
It slams down its Lightning Sword, releasing Lightning that travels along the ground from the point of impact. Since the Thunder traveling along the ground can be jumped over, when it raises its Lightning Sword, move far away, and carefully watch the movement of the thunder on the ground to dodge it.
