Nightreign's Strongest Character Ranking

The strongest characters in Nightreign are Wylder, Ironeye, and Raider. Breaking the enemy's posture and landing Critical Hits, while everyone attacks together, is a powerful strategy. This makes characters like Wylder and Raider can easily break enemy posture great. Ironeye is also excellent because it can attack consistently with a Bow even when enemies are targeting other allies.

Duchess excels at mobility, able to dodge twice in a row while using minimal stamina. They pair well with Dexterity-based weapons that strike multiple times, making them highly effective when combined with status effect weapons.

The Character Skill, Restage, lets you replicate recent actions from yourself or allies, such as Weapon Skills, Character Skills, or Ultimate Arts. Timing and coordination are key. If used effectively, it can deal high damage consecutively.

Long-Range Bow Attacker

Ironeye is a long-range attacker skilled in using bows. Also, Arrows are infinite, so there's no need to worry about the ammunition count typical of ranged weapons.

Easy to Break Enemy Stance With Character Skill

Ironeye's Character Skill "Marking" applies a weak point to the enemy, and by attacking and destroying that weak point, you can break the enemy's stance. You can deal massive damage with Critical Strikes to enemies whose stance is broken, so it's a Character Skill that indirectly increases damage.

Increases Items Obtained From Enemies

Ironeye can increase the items obtained from enemies with their Passive Ability "Eagle Eye." This effect also affects allies, so the entire party's item acquisition increases, making it easier to gather equipment.

High Poise and Resistant to Flinching

Raider has high poise and is more resistant to flinching compared to other characters. Even when attacked repeatedly, they’re unlikely to stagger, making it difficult for enemies to chain attacks.

Reduces Damage Taken and Counterattacks

Raider’s Character Skill, "Retaliate," puts them in a defensive stance that greatly reduces incoming damage. If hit during this stance, they become empowered, allowing them to parry attacks and deliver a powerful counterattack. It’s a straightforward but powerful move for turning defense into offense.

Supports Allies With Ultimate Art

Raider's Ultimate Art "Totem Stela" summons a giant tombstone, and can buff allies around it. The tombstone can block enemy ranged attacks, and also allow allies to climb it to attack from range one-sidedly.

Starting Weapon has Blood Loss

Executor's starting weapon has Blood Loss, and their Weapon Skill is the excellent "Unsheathe". Nightreign bosses have enormous HP, so being able to aim for percentage-based Blood Loss damage with the starting weapon is a big advantage.

S-Rank Arcane that Boosts Status Effects

Executor's Arcane stat is their highest at S-rank. Arcane increases the buildup of all status effects, so they can use Blood Loss weapons and others more effectively than other characters.

With Practice, Can Parry to Nullify Attacks

Executor's Character Skill "Cursed Sword" lets them Square Off with their cursed blade. By guarding with precise timing, they can parry and nullify enemy attacks. While failed attempts drain a lot of stamina, mastering this skill gives them a strong edge against enemies with predictable moves.

When Revenant uses their Ultimate Art "Immortal March", they make themselves and their allies immortal and revive downed allies. Since it can change a critical situation, it is especially valuable in first encounters or difficult boss battles.
