What Is A Style Rank?
Letters Displayed On The Right Side Of The Screen
The Style Rank is the letters being displayed on the right side of your screen. These usually appear after getting in multiple attacks in combat. You can raise the rank by using and chaining several different combos when fighting.
Ranked From D to SSS
The Style Rank consists of 7 ranks each with their own letters. The lowest Style Rank you can get is a D, while the highest is an SSS. These ranks have a word assigned to their letter as well.

How To Raise The Style Rank
Ways To Raise Your Style Rank In Combat
- Defeat and kill enemies using various combos & skills
- Maintain your stylish points by taunting
- Use powerful attacks with the Exceed System (Nero Only)
- Use a powerful Devil Breaker (Nero Only)
- Avoid enemy attacks, and continue your combos
Use Different Techniques & Skills In Fights
Style Rank will increase when you incorporate different combos and moves as you fight enemies. Using the same attack again and again will not raise your Style Rank so pay close attention to your moves!
Controls & Character MovesetsTaunt At The Beginning Of Battle
Taunting your enemies will also increase your Style Rank. You can do this by pressing the touchpad. Use this technique sparingly in battle since it leaves you vulnerable to enemy attacks!
Taunt When Enemies Are Downed
You can also maintain your Style Rank by provoking between attacks. However, keep in mind that you will not be able to move or dodge when taunting. Taunt enemies only when they are downed.
Use Powerful Exceed Moves
Using the Exceed system, you will be able to deal more damage than normal. Abuse this technique since it largely increases your Style Rank! Rev up the Red Queen before battle to be able to use a multitude of Exceed Attacks!
Maintain Exceed By Using EX-Act
In order for you to maintain the Exceed slots, you will need to use the Ex-Act. Activating this at the same time an attack hits will fill an Exceed slot. The timing may need some time to get used to, but will let you use Exceed for much longer!
Use A Powerful Devil Breaker
Devil Breakers are a great piece of gear that can raise your Stylish Rank by a huge chunk! Activate it at the end of a combo to finish off enemies, or even charge them up for devastating final attacks!

When you get hit by an enemy, your combo ends and the Style Rank goes down. Keep an eye on your surroundings and watch out for incoming enemy attacks. Successful dodges will keep your Style Rank up!
Benefits Of Raising The Style Rank
Earn Lots Of Red Orbs At The End Of The Mission
Having a high Style Rank will reward you with tons of Red Orbs at the end of the mission. This is useful as you can use these Red Orbs to purchase skills and upgrades from Nico's Shop or from the Divinity Statues!

At the end of the mission, your evaluation will go up if you maintained a high Style Rank. Since there are trophies which require you to have a high clear rank, it is best to raise your style rank to get higher mission ranks!
