The Pines - Map Layout & Design
Large Mutli-Level Map
The Pines is a large map with multiple levels and a vast floor space. Set inside a shopping mall, it has more open areas since most of the cover are limited to the stores lining up its areas.
Tons Of Open Areas
The mall does have its cover, but for the most of it, it's open areas. It has large hallways and a few center areas, making it easy to spot teammates and enemies running around.
The Pines - Map Tips & Tricks
Take Advantage Of High Ground
As much as possible, do not drop down to engage enemies when you're at high ground. Being on high ground makes shooting a bit easier and enemies will have a harder time shooting back at you from an angle.
Can Only Get Drops At Specific Areas
You won't be able to call for air drops when inside the store or the mall hallways. Inside the mall, you can do this in the fountain area. Besides that, you will need to go out to the parking lot.
Arial Scorestreak Is Limited
Although the map has tons of open areas, most of them are roofed, limiting the effectiveness of aerial Scorestreaks. They can still be used, but note that they can only be used in certain areas.
