Village - Chapter 1 Map
The Village - Walkthrough Guide
Story Walkthrough Chart

| 1 | Move forward after the cutscene. Head inside the wooden cabin |
| 2 | Crawl under the cabinet blocking the door inside. Exit through the hole and continue forward |
| 3 | Enter the house next to the Church |
| 4 Optional: | Collect the Knife on the table next to the lamp |
| 5 | Open the door to talk to the man. This will trigger a cutscene where you will be able to obtain a gun |
| 6 | Shoot down the Lycan |
| 7 | Return to the house and grab the Bolt Cutters from the inside of the other room |
| 8 | Move through Fallow Plot & enter the house near Luiza's House. Fight off the Lycans that will spawn. |
| 9 | Head inside the houses in the village. Wait for it to trigger an event |
| 10 | Exit through the red gates to trigger a cutscene with the woman on the road |
| 11 | Enter the house next to the graveyard. Grab the Maiden Crest from the Altar |
| 12 | Enter the house next to the field and grab the mine |
| 13 | Keep pushing forward until you enter a house with a girl and her father inside |
| 14 | Climb through the broken wall and open the gates. Enter Luiza's house |
| 15 | After the cutscene, defeat Elena's father |
| 16 | Locate the key to the truck. Inspect it to get a Screwdriver |
| 17 | Use the Truck Key on the Truck |
| 18 | Make your way out of the burning house. Drop down the window |
| 19 | Use the screwdriver to get the Demon Crest |
| 20 | Head back to the stone door and place the Demon Crest and the Maiden Crest on it |
| 21 | Proceed forward |
6. Run Or Shoot Down The Lycan - Tips
Lycan Will Grab When You Get Too Close
Stay a few steps away from the Lycan at all times. Being too close to it will trigger it to grab and bite down, dealing damage to Ethan
7. Return To The House - Tips
Grab Materials Lying Around
Besides the quest-required Bolt Cutters, there are also materials that you can grab from inside the house.
Check Crafting Tab To See What You Can Craft
Upon picking up a Material, you will be prompted to check your Crafting Tab for recipes and items you can create. One of the few things you can craft at this point is the First Aid Med.

Use Cabinet To Barricade The Door
Lycans will come after you during this section. Make sure to use the Cabinet next to the door to barricade it. This will prevent them to enter inside the house.
Shoot Them Through Walls, Windows
Lycans trying to get inside the house will claw their way through the windows and the wooden walls. You can shoot at them from here and defeat them without putting yourself in danger.
9. Head Inside The Houses In Village - Tips
Lycans Waiting To Ambush You
There will still be Lycans roaming around after you defeat the first three that attacks you. Enter the house they're standing on and immediately barricade the entrance.
Grab The Shotgun From The Table
The M1897 Shotgun can be found on the table inside the house. Grab it to use against the Lycans stalking you.
Lycan With Flame Arrows Will Shoot At You
Upon climbing to the top of the ladder, you will find yourself on the roof and next to a Lycan with a bow and arrow. You can choose to ignore it and just dodge the incoming arrows.
Event Will Have Ethan Swarmed
After exiting Luiza's house, you will be swarmed by Lycans and no matter how much you fight, it will end with Ethan being overwhelmed by them. This is a triggered event and will not result in a game over.
14. Enter Luiza's House - Tips
Save At The Typewriter
Another staple of the series returns! Manual save at the Typewriter to save your progress. You don't need to use an Ink Ribbon for this.
16. Locate The Key To The Truck - Tips
Truck Key Is At The Farthest Drawer
The green cupboard has a drawer at its very leftmost. You will find the Truck Key here.
500 Lei Found In Garage Cupboard
Don't miss out on the 500 Lei sitting around in the Garage cupboard as you look for the Truck's Key.
The Village - Item Locations
Goat Of Warding In The Courtyard
After the Cutscene with Lycans on horses, you will gain access to the Courtyard of the village. Here you will find the first Goat of Warding on an altar in the middle of the snow.
Check Out The Goats of Warding LocationsMaiden Crest Inside House Next To Graveyard
The Maiden Crest can be found inside the blue-paint adorned house next to the Graveyard. It's on the altar venerating Mother Miranda.
Devil's Crest In The Locked Box Outside Of Luiza's House
The Devil's Crest is located in a locked blue box found right outside of Luiza's house. You will need the Screwdriver to get it, which is only obtainable upon getting access to the house.
The Village - Details
An Isolated Settlement
The titular Village is a remote, cold-looking settlement somewhere in Eastern Europe (likely Romania). It is said to be isolated entirely from society, and gives off an altogether eerie atmosphere.
↑ The people who appear in the Village are equally unsettling - though perhaps they'll be your allies?
Villagers Hunted By Lycans
It seems that villagers here are hunted by a group of creatures called Lycans. Perhaps it will be part of your job to rescue the Village from this threat?
The Duke Is Here?
The Duke is a character in RE8 who will likely act as the main item and weapon vendor. It is said that he is from the Village, so perhaps we'll be able to find him here?
