Pikachu Ex can constantly deal powerful 90 point damage

  1. Circle Circuit
  2. Uses Electric Circle

You Can Only Use Electric Type Pokemon

Since this is a deck that mainly use the attack Circle Circuit, it is difficult to use Pokemon other than Electric Type. To fill the bench, use about 6 to 8 Electric Basic Pokemon.

Battle Using Multiple Ex Pokemon Cards

  1. Active Spot Pikachu
  2. Active Spot Zapdos

The deck only has Pokemon which has a retreat cost of 1 or less. The deck benefits from using multiple Pokemon to attack, so it's strong against decks that can't One-Hit Knock Out your Pokemon.

Retreat Cost for Electrode is 0, Making it Easy to Save Energy

The strength of the deck is Electrode has a retreat cost of 0 makings Sabrina useless in many situations. Compared to other types of Pikachu decks, there are fewer situations where you want X Speed.

Hard to Use When Opponent Already Has 2 Points

Electrode's HP is quite low among Stage 1. Therefore, when the opponent has already obtained 2 points and uses Sabrina, low HP Electrode can be defeated and make you lose the battle easily.

Match Up against Meta Decks

Pikachu ex Deck is a deck that prioritizes preparing Pikachu ex and focuses on speed to deal damage. In the current environment, there are many Pokemon that are weak to Electric Type, such as Water Type and 3 Birds Pokemon, so it is especially advantageous against decks at the top of the meta.

Weak Against Faster Tempo Decks

The Pikachu ex Deck is weak against faster decks like Marowak ex. The Marowak ex deck has a faster tempo than the Pikachu ex deck, and it also exploits weakness, so it tends to be a tough match.

Pikachu ex & Electrode Deck Strategy

  2. Add Energy to Pikachu ex
  3. Use Pikachu ex's Attack Repeatedly
Change the Fight Plan Depending on Attacking First or Second
  1. Pikachu ex
  2. Voltorb

If you're going second, put Pikachu ex in the Active Spot, and use other Pokemon if you're going first. In that case, Voltorb is highly recommended.

Electrode Retreat Cost is 0

If Voltorb can evolve to Electrode, retreat cost will be 0, so it can be replaced with Pikachu ex in the Bench or with other Pokemon without consuming Speed X or Energy.

Add Energy to Pikachu ex
  1. Pikachu ex

First, Attach Energy from Zone to Pikachu ex. Place Pokemon on the Bench as soon as you draw them. If it is difficult to fill the bench, you can also attach Energy to other Pokemon like Zapdos ex or Electrode.

Use Pikachu ex's Attack Repeatedly
  1. Pikachu ex

When Pikachu ex has enough energy, use "Circle Circuit" to attack. If you have the maximum number of Electric Pokemon on your Bench, you can deal 90 damage.

Prepare Other Pokemon to Retreat Pikachu ex

This deck is full of Pokemon with low retreat energy cost, so it's easy to avoid being Knocked Out by retreating them to the Bench. For Pikachu ex to deal the highest damage, it is better to avoid being Knocked Out, so create a situation where it can escape by preparing a second Pikachu ex.
