F2P-Friendly Pikachu ex Deck - Pros / Cons

  1. Pikachu ex's attack is powerful as it deals 90 damage and can be used consecutively
  2. The Tempo of the Deck is Similar to Other Pikachu Decks
  3. There is No Way to Deal More Than 90 Damage

Pikachu Ex can constantly deal powerful 90 point damage

  1. Circle Circuit
  2. Uses Electric Circle

The main card Pikachu ex is a powerful Pokemon as it has easy-to-use 2 energy and 90 damage attacks without any disadvantages. Since it's a Basic Pokemon, it's easy to bring into play, and once Pikachu is ready, you can continuously deal damage.

Only Electric Type Pokemon

Since this is a deck mainly using the attack Circle Circuit, it is difficult to use Pokemon other than Electric Type. To fill the bench, use about 6 to 8 Electric Basic Pokemon.

The Tempo of the Deck is Similar to Other Pikachu Decks

If the Pikachu ex deck is running properly, Electric type Pokemon other than Pikachu ex doesn't matter. Of course, having Zapdos ex or Raichu+Lt. Surge will enhance the deck, but it is possible to fight even without those cards to a certain extent.

There is No Way to Deal More Than 90 Damage

Since the deck is based on a low-budget concept, the power of the Electric Pokemon other than Pikachu ex is low. In particular, the problem is the low damage, and there is no way to do more damage than Pikachu ex's move, so utilize Pincurchin and Zebstrikato Knock Out opponent Pokemon.

Match Up against Meta Decks

Pikachu ex Deck is a deck that prioritizes preparing Pikachu ex and focuses on speed to deal damage. In the current environment, many Pokemon are weak to Electric Type, such as Water Type and 3 Birds Pokemon, so it is especially advantageous against decks at the top of the meta.

Weak Against Faster Tempo Decks

The Pikachu ex Deck is weak against faster decks like Marowak ex. The Marowak ex deck has a quicker tempo than the Pikachu ex deck and exploits weakness, so it tends to be a tough match.

F2P-Friendly Pikachu ex Deck Strategy

  1. Change the Plan Depending on Attacking First or Second
  2. Add Energy to Pikachu ex
  3. Use Pikachu ex's Attack Repeatedly
Change the Plan Depending on Attacking First or Second
  1. Pikachu ex
  2. Zapdos ex

If you're going second, put Pikachu ex in the Active Spot, and use other Pokemon if you're going first. In that case, Blitzle is highly recommended.

Zebstrika can use Attack with 1 Energy

Blitzle can Attack with 1 Energy even if it evolves into Zebstrika, so you don't have to add extra energy to Blitzle to attack after evolving.

Add Energy to Pikachu ex
  1. Pikachu ex

First, Attach Energy from Zone to Pikachu ex. Place Pokemon on the Bench as soon as you draw them. If it is difficult to fill the bench, you can also attach Energy to other Pokemon like Heliolisk.

Use Pikachu ex's Attack Repeatedly
  1. Pikachu ex

When Pikachu ex has enough energy, use "Circle Circuit" to attack. If you have the maximum number of Electric Pokémon on your Bench, you can deal 90 damage.

Prepare Other Pokemon to Retreat

This deck is full of Pokémon with low retreat energy costs, so it's easy to avoid being Knocked Out by retreating them to the Bench. For Pikachu ex to deal the highest damage, it is better to avoid being Knocked Out, so prepare a second Pikachu ex.
