High Stakes Event Overview
First announced on September 2, 2018, the new High Stakes event will feature a new "Getaway" Limited Time Mode, the Wild Card Outfit, new weapon - The Grappler, and High Stakes event challenges!

The High Stakes event comes with 3 challenges that will have you jumping into and playing the "Getaway" Limited Time Mode!

10 Matches of "Getaway" LTM for 5,000 XP
A player needs to play only 10 LTM matches, making this challenge easy to complete. However, never leave the match early to ensure the match is counted towards the challenge.
Deal Damage to Llama Jewel Carrying Enemies
There's a small window of opportunity to damage a jewel carrying opponent so make shots count. Grab a Sniper Rifle for head shots or close the distance with The Grappler & deal damage with Shotguns.

Listen and look to the sky to check the direction of where supply crates will drop so you can head there first! But be wary as other players head there, too!
Check On-Screen Compass To Locate Supply Crates
The supply crates will be indicated in the HUD compass as icons. Keep this in mind to head towards the supply crates' direction.
Finish All Challenges, Unlock Crowbar
After pulling off all 3 High Stakes challenges, players will be rewarded with the Crowbar Pickaxe.
"Getaway" Limited Time Mode
The "Getaway" Limited Time Mode will have players pulling off the biggest heist of the century! The Objectve - steal priceless llama jewels & run to the Getaway Van to win!
Check Out Getaway LTM Info!Pull Off A Squad Heist
The "Getaway" Limited Time Mode is played in Squad Mode. Squads will be pitted against other teams in a race to gather all llama jewels and run to the Getaway Van.
Steal A Llama Jewel From A Supply Crate
Players need to steal 1 llama jewel from air dropped supply crates! These jewels take up inventory space.
Run To Getaway Van & Win!
Several Getaway Vans will also be air dropped around the map. Players must have 1 llama jewel within their team before they board the Getaway Van to ensure the getaway is complete!
Wild Card Outfit & Selectable Styles
The Wild Card is a new outfit skin announced alongside the Fortnite High Stakes event. It comes with 4 different masks representing the different card houses.

The Wild Card outfit will have the Ace, Spade, Diamond, or Club masks that players can choose from. Whether unlockable from challenges or purchasable from the Item Shop, more info to come!
Cuff Case Back Bling
Players can make sure to keep their loot within them with the new Cuff Case Back Bling!
Safecracker Glider
Every master thief has a special set of equipment to make every heist successful! Complete that getaway with the Safecracker Glider!
New Weapon: The Grappler
The Grappler is a new weapon that players can use to aim and shoot on buildings and structures to fling themselves over to them or across the map.

The Grappler is can mainly be used to traverse the map faster and more efficiently. It comes in Epic tier and has 15 rounds.
