Sidegrade your weapon at an Upgrade Bench and complete a challenge for you trouble. You'll need to use an Upgrade Bench thrice to complete this challenge.
How to Sidegrade a Weapon
Go to Any Upgrade Bench
You can only sidegrade weapons through Upgrade Benches. These can be found across the island. There's one in all named areas on the map.
Select Option to Sidegrade Weapon
When you approach a Workbench while holding a weapon that can be sidegraded, you will get the prompt to do. Complete the prompt and you will have sidegraded a weapon!
Only Works with Assault Rifle, Heavy Assault Rifle
So far, the only weapons that can be sidegraded at the Upgrade Bench are Assault Rifles and Heavy Assault Rifles of any rarity. Grab any of the two for the sake of this challenge.
