Armory Unlocks & Challenges - Best Way To Get All

Armory Unlocks explained in Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 (2023). Learn how to unlock weapons fast, best way to progress daily challenge and bonus challenge in CoD MW3 (2023).

What Is Armory Unlocks?

New System That Gets Unlocked At Level 25

Armory Unlocks is a new system introduced in MW3 that gets unlocked at Level 25. Once you reach Level 25, Press Triange to move to the Armory Unlocks screen.

Obtain Weapons And Equipment By Completing Daily Challenges

Armory Unlocks gives you various Weapons, Attachments and Perks as you complete daily challenges.

Armory Unlocks is the only way to unlock some of them at this point, so the daily challenges are more important in MW3 compared to the previous series.

Current Error With Daily Challenges

There is currently a bug that won't track the progress of the Daily Challenges for some players. See below for details.

Many Attachments To Unlock In Gunsmith

You will see some attachments to unlock in the Armory but those are not all of them. There are many more attachments to unlock from the Armory, which you can see at the Gunsmith for each weapon. Note that you can activate the challenges from there.

You Can Choose What To Unlock First

There are about 60 unlockables in Armory Unlocks and you can choose which ones to unlock first. You can set 3 in total to Active and Queued.

Activate

Activate the first one you want to unlock. Complete the challenge for the one set to Active and you will unlock that reward.

Add to Queue

You can set 2 for Queued. These will become active in order, once the Active one is unlocked. Note that you cannot progress the ones that are Queued until they become Active.

Best Way To Progress Armory Unlock Challenges

Complete The Bonus Challenges

Complete 3 Daily Challenges to unlock the Bonus Challenge. Every win in a match (in any game mode) will count as completing 1 Daily Challenge.

Bonus Challenge Can Be Completed Repeatedly

Bonus Challenges can be completed multiple times until the Daily Challenges are reset. So the fastest way to unlock weapons and equipment is to unlock the Bonus Challenge and win as many matches as possible.

Complete The Challenges In Both Multiplayer & Zombies

There are three Daily Challenges each for Multiplayer and Zombies, giving you a total of six. In terms of efficiency, it is best to unlock the Bonus Challenge in either mode and then repeat playing matches until the Challenge is reset. So you don't have to complete all six.

If you have difficulty completing the day's Challenges and cannot unlock the Bonus Challenge, then complete the Challenge in the other mode to make some progress.

Unlock Equipment (Lethal/Tactical) First

Some Daily Challenges require you to use Lethal/Tactical equipment. Note that some Lethal/Tactical equipment can only be unlocked from the Armory.

For example, the image above is a challenge that requires Flash Grenades, which can only be unlocked in Armory Unlocks. Which means if you don't have Flash Grenades, you won't be able to complete one of the Daily Challenges. That also prevents you from farming using the Bonus Challenge.

Armory Equipment Required For Some Daily Challenges (To be updated)

• Breacher Drone
• Flash Grenade

We are still confirming what other Lethal/Tactical equipment is required for some Daily Challenges, but unlocking these should be prioritized.

No Need To Prioritize Equipment If You Play Zombies

Even if you haven't unlocked something in the Armory, you can also unlock them by obtaining them in Zombies and making it to Exfil with that item. Lethal/Tactical equipment is especially easy to find in Zombies so we recommend unlocking those this way.

Some Equipment Can Only Be Used In Zombies

The equipment available in Multiplayer and Zombies Modes are different so bringing back Lethal/Tactical equipment that only appears in Zombies won't have any effect on Multiplayer. Make sure what you're taking home in Zombies can also be used in Multiplayer.

Equipment Available In Both Multiplayer And Zombies

Armory Unlocks Priority

1. Equipment (Lethal/Tactical)

As stated above, some equipment can be unlocked in Zombies but not all of them. Flash Grenades can only be unlocked in the Armory so that should be your top priority.

2. Weapons

When it comes to weapons, you have to level them up after unlocking them so you want them as soon as possible. Our Gun Tier List shows the most popular weapons chosen by our readers so you can also refer to that when choosing which weapons to unlock first.

Weapons Can Also Be Unlocked In Zombies

• Loot
• Purchase from weapon racks in buildings
• Obtain a weapon you haven't unlocked yet from a Mystery Box

Much like equipments, you can also unlock weapons for Multiplayer by obtaining them in Zombies. The list above shows how you can do that.

Also, if you have a friend that has a weapon that can only be unlocked in the Armory, you can play Zombies with that friend, receive it from them and go to Exfil. We came across reports that you can also unlock them in Multiplayer this way.

3. Others

There are also Aftermarket Parts, Perks, Field Upgrades and Killstreaks that are very useful in combat so you will also want to unlock those. Perks that were powerful in the previous series such as Ghost T/V Camo and Convert Sneakers should be at a high priority.
