The Valheim Biomes

Biomes	Information
Meadows	The Meadows Biome is the place where you'll first start your journey. Important items: • Wood • Fine Wood • Deer Trophy
Black Forest	The Black Forest is a biome that is covered with moss and tall trees. Important items: • Swamp Key • Tin Ore • Copper Ore
Swamp	The Swamp is a dark, muddy area, filled with massive trees and hostile creatures. Important items: • Wishbone
Mountain	The Mountain is a snow covered zone that is surrounded by Fir trees. Important items: • Dragon Tear • Wolf Pelt • Silver Ore
Plains	The Plains are mostly composed of flatlands dotted with occasional hills and scattered trees. Important items: • Flax • Barley • Fuling Totem • Black Metal Scrap
Ocean	The Ocean is a large, empty body of water that is only accessible by boats. Important items: • Chitin • Serpent Scale

Ashlands	The Ashlands biome is covered in smoke and fire. The entire zone gives off the impression of a volcano having erupted as ashes can be seen as well.
Mistlands	The Mistlands is a biome covered in spider webs and fog. It has been confirmed to be the subject of a future update.
Deep North	-

Possible Hidden Biome?

Some players discovered a hidden biome in-game that looks like a Desert Biome, though Valheim devs have not confirmed anything about a Desert Biome currently being in the works. It's possible this isn't a real biome after all.

The Valheim Bosses

Boss	Information How To Summon
Eikthyr	Eikthyr is a large stag that has chains wrapped on its electrified antlers. Offer x2 Deer Trophies in the mystical altar in the Meadows Biome
The Elder	The Elder is a large bipedal creature that takes the appearance of a large tree. Offer x3 Ancient Seeds on Sacrificial Altar in the Black Forest Biome.
Bonemass	Bonemass is a slime-man like creature that is immune to poison. Offer x10 Withered Bones Swamp Biome
Moder	Moder is a dragon that flies around the battlefield thus making it difficult to take down with a melee weapon. Offer x3 Dragon Eggs in the sacrificial altar in the Mountain Biome.
Yagluth	Yagluth is a large Skeleton with only the upper half as his body. Offer x5 Fuling Totem in the sacrificial altar in the Plains Biome.
