Taming in-game is where you'll be able to make a bond with animals that are in the wild. Once an animal is tamed, it will treat you as its master.

We would recommend that you build a pen/den first before you start taming wild animals as they will attack even after you give them food.

Taming a Boar takes a lot of patience, but it can all be worth it in the end. As fully grown & tamed Boars can also good sources of Leather Scraps & Raw Meat.

How To Lure Boars Into Your Pen

Luring them can be a bit challenging. We recommend that when you make a pen, make sure to leave one slot open. Then, look for a boar, have the boar hit you, and run into the pen. Once it’s in, build the final wall to keep it in.

Make sure to repair the walls of the cage frequently, as the boars will attack it.

How To Get Boars' Affection To Go Up

Boars can be tamed if they are placed in a cage since they get aggressive and attack even though you already fed them.

Keep Your Distance

Also make sure that you are near the area but not too close, so their affection meter will increase, if you are too far away there is a chance that the affection meter will not increase. Also, keep them away from fire as it makes the boars panic.

Keep Them Well Fed

To get their trust, you must always kept your Boars well fed, they love to eat Mushroom, Blueberries & Raspberries.

Once the acclimatizing has reached 100% you will now be given a chance to tame the Boar. That way Boar will no longer attack you and will now fully trust you.

If you have placed another Boar in the cage, they will eventually mate and give birth to offspring, you can put any boars in the pen as there is no concept of gender between animals in-game.

Taming a Wolf can be a lot of hard work since they will attack you when you try to feed them. A tamed wolf can be your companion once it has reached 100%.

Luring The Wolf Into Your Den

Luring Wolves to the den is a very challenging we recommend that the den you made, make sure to leave one slot open & also have equip a strong armor like the wolf gear.

Then look for a wolf, have them hit you & run into the den. Once it’s in, build the final wall to keep it in. Also make sure to reinforce the walls of the cage every day , as the wolves might attack it and wear it down.

Wolves do a lot of damage, so you must build a makeshift den, that way the wolves will not be able to hurt you.

Just like Boars, you'll also want to make sure that you are near the area but not too close, so their affection meter will increase. If you are too far away there is a chance that the affection meter will not increase.

Wolves will only eat meat like Raw Meat, Neck Tail, Raw Fish & Lox Meat. So make sure to keep them fed at all times.

Just like the Boars, Wolves can also be tamed once they've reached 100%. Then you'll be given a chance to tame them. Once the Wolf has been tamed you can either bring them on your quest or just leave them on your base.

Wolves can also mate. Just put another wolf in the den and they should give birth to a wolf cub.

Taming a Lox is not a walk in the park. As these majestic huge creatures can kill you easily, you need to ensure you have good armor and food to survive a potential hit. .

How To Lure Lox Into Your Wood Or Stone Enclosure

To lure a Lox you must build a strong enclosure and be sure to leave one slot open & also have equip a strong armor as they can deal a great damage.

Afterward, look for a Lox and have it follow you to the walls you built. Once it’s in, build the final wall to keep it in. Also make sure to reinforce the walls every day.

How To Get The Lox's Affection & Make It Love You

If you have already built a wall to contain the Lox, then you shouldn't have any problems, but always make sure to repair them every day just in case.

Keep Your Distance

Make sure that you are near the area but not too close as Lox can do an earthquake stomp that is powerful enough to kill you. So their affection meter will increase & if you are too far away there is a chance that the affection meter will not increase.

Lox will only eat Cloudberries, Barley & Flax so always keep these in stock.

Just like the Boars & Wolves, Lox can also be tamed, once they've reached 100% you will now be given a chance to tame them.

Lox Aren't Breedable

For now the Lox are not breedable. Perhaps this will be implemented at some point in the future?
