Strategies
If you're a melee user, get in between the legs of the Troll and hit it. Once it raises its arm to attack, dodge roll to the side. Repeat the process until you defeat it.

Recommended Armor
You don't want to be taking any hits from a Troll whatsoever, so armor is arguably irrelevant. Troll leather gear is a safe bet to be wearing (though if you're hunting a Troll for the first time you won't have this). Leather gear is your bare minimum here.
