What Are Shu

Unlocked At Level 20

The Shu feature is unlocked at level 20. This is a very important milestone that you should try to reach relatively quickly, as it will unlock a ton of other features as well.

Friendly Fowl That Follows You

Shu are bird creatures that were added in the game's First Update. They are your companions, but they won't directly attack your enemies, nor do they have HP! Instead, they'll circle around enemies you attack. Having them accompany you will provide you with a passive stat boost, so you never want to be without one of these feathered friends.

How To Get Shu

Although you usually get Shu as a summon, it's also possible to get them from eggs. It's possible to get them from Today's Activity, but you'll need to be at least Level 100 to do so.

Tip!	You can also purchase Shu with real money. It's also possible that Shu might be sold on the A3 Shop as a limited time special, so make sure to check regularly.

Leveling Up Shu

It's possible to upgrade Shu by using up other Shu as EXP materials. The upgraded Shu's stats will increase, which means that you should definitely use any Shu you don't need to upgrade ones you're going to use.

Tip!	To get a Superior Shu up to max level, you'll need to use a total of 29 other Superior Shus as materials! This is a rather large number, so you should do your best to get Shus as frequently as possible!

Change Their Substats

Shu of a Rare rarity or above will have additional stats. There will be a degree of variance to these stats, and it's possible to get multiple of the same stat, up to a max of 4. It's also not guaranteed that the stat itself will increase, either, so take note.

You can check detailed stat information by setting a Shu in the main slot of the change substat screen. This will let you see a detailed list of possible stats you could get.

Choose A Material

Next, select a Shu of a lower rarity to act as fodder. Shu you use up here will disappear completely, so be careful!

Costs Diamonds To Change

Changing a substat once will cost you 50 Diamonds. After you pay, you'll see the stat you gained and be asked if you want to keep it or restore it. If there's a stat you don't need, you don't have to take it!

Get Better Shu Via Binding

Shu Binding will let you use two Shu of the same rarity (one of which needs to be max level) in order to create a Shu of a higher rarity! This still has a percent change to occur, so it is not guaranteed.

Successful Binding

If you are successful in your binding, you'll use up both the main and ingredient Shu and create a new one of a higher rarity! Note that the new Shu you get will be totally random - it won't be the one you put in the binding originally.

Failed Binding

If you fail to do a binding, only the Shu you selected as an ingredient (not the main one) will disappear. If you fail, don't worry - your success chance for successive attempts will increase. This bonus goes away when you successfully bind a new Shu.
