What Are Accessories?
Necklaces, Earrings, and Rings
Accessories refer to the following 3 types of items equippable by player characters: Necklaces, Earrings, and Rings.
Base Stat Differences
Accessories will have different stats depending on the profession that's using them. There are two main stats, Physical or Magic damage, and they are fixed for professions in the following manner:

Equipment Level
Unlike other equipment (armor and weapons), all accessories are equipment level 1! This means that they do not have a level requirement.
Accessory Rarity
There are 7 total possible rarities for accessories: Common, Uncommon, Superior, Rare, Heroic, Ancient, and Legendary. Each rarity can have from 1 to 4 different accessory items.
Differences Between Rarities
Just as is the case with Armor and Weapons, the main difference between accessories of differing rarities will be their substats, magic stone slots, and legendary stats. The higher the rarity of an accessory, the higher the possible range of stats on that piece. Remember, accessory stats are determined randomly on drop (within a given range of stat parameters).
As mentioned above, there can be several unique accessories of the same rarity. In these cases, the base stats they provide are different!

There are several types of accessory substats, as listed above. Each accessory seems to get a maximum of 1 accessory substat.
Accessory substats provide bonuses that are quite different from other armor/weapons. This makes them quite useful to have. They also give you a lot of room for character customization - you can choose to specialize in PvP or PvE via the accessories you equip.
