Black Crystal - Overview & Info

Clear Chapter 5-1 To Unlock

You can unlock the Black Crystal simply by clearing Chapter 5-1 of the main story quest. Progress to this point of the story quickly if you want to do this content!

Black Crystals Exist In The Open World

The Black Crystal event can be started by activating Black Crystals which are lying around the map. Once the event commences, hordes of enemies will spawn in the area. If you're auto-battling in the vicinity, you might get caught up in the fighting, so be careful!

Several Phases Of Enemy Waves

Once you activate the Crystal, a quest will be add to your quest bar on the left. You'll be able to see your current stage, as well as how many stages are left.

Event Ends After Set Time

The event will finally end after you've either defeated all enemies in the vicinity, or if the time limit expires. Either way, the crystal be purified and you'll gain rewards depending on the level you reached.

Tip!	During our attempts, the time limit was 3 minutes. This is quite short, so you'll want to make your way to the crystal immediately once it shows up on the map.

Need Resonating Stones To Start

In order to purify Black Crystals, you'll first have to have Resonating Stones on you to start the event. These items have a relatively low chance to be obtained as both drops from enemies and rewards from content. You can purchase these for gold at the Daily Shop as well!

Get Rewards 5 Times A Day

You can participate and get rewards from this mode up to a max of 5 times per day. This counts even if you're the one who activates the Crystal with a Resonating Stone!

Play With Other People

Black Crystal events will spawn a lot of enemies which you might not be able to deal with all by yourself. Since everyone who participates will get a reward, players are incentivized to find groups for this content. Try to recruit people to join your group in chat before you start the event!

Activate During Peak TImes

You'll want to start this event at times when 1) there are lots of players active, and 2) when there is no other major event going on. If players are off doing a World Boss, they won't show up for your Crystal, so choose carefully!

Heal Yourself Up

Enemies that spawn during this event will be great in number and deal significant damage. Healing will be really important here, so we recommend bringing some means to heal yourself, whether that be potions or the abilities of a supporting Soul Linker.

AoE Stun Abilities Work Well

Most enemies in this event can be stunned or interrupted, so we strongly recommend bringing skills that can deal AoE damage and CC opponents. They'll be extremely effective in this mode, so make sure to adjust your skills before starting the event.

Watch Out For Enemies Near The Crystal

Crystals will spawn on the map, sometimes in places with other enemies nearby. If you're on auto battle mode, your character might even end up wandering over to other unrelated mobs. Consider choosing a Crystal that isn't too close to other enemies!

Reward Timing

You can get rewards from this mode either when you defeat all enemies in the area, or when the timer expires. There aren't any particularly rare items that drop here, but you can get a lot of EXP, Gold, and progress for achievements, making this content worth doing!
