Types of Element and Effectiveness
There are 6 Types of Elements

Each character has a Resonance Element. You can increase Elemental stats by enhancing skills, Echoes, and other character's support skills to deal more damage.
There are no Elemental Effects
There are no elemental advantages or weaknesses when attacking that increases or decreases damage. This goes the same when taking damage from enemies and the amount of damage received solely relies on the character's defense stats.
Enemies have Elemental Resistance
Avoid Enemy Resistance When Attacking
Some enemies have resistance or can nullify certain elemental damage. Avoid the enemy's Elemental Resistance to deal damage and defeat the enemy quickly and effectively.
Resistance can be Checked in Tutorial
Enemy resistance can be checked from the Terminal - Tutorial - Enemy screen. On top of enemy Elemental Resistance, you can check enemy attacks and tips to defeat them, so if you're having trouble fighting certain enemies try checking them here.
How to Check Resonance Element
Check Team or Enhancement Menu
Each Character's Element can be checked from the Team menu or Enhancement menu.
Check Enemy Element by Attacking or in Tutorial
You can check the enemy's element resonance by attacking them, or through the tutorial before starting the battle. Since you can't check attributes during battles, if you encounter unfavorable matchups, it's better to keep your distance and reconsider your team.
