Of the two fishing spots, the one at the pier in the center of the map is recommended. The fishing spot near Junk Heap is not recommended as Shades tend to spawn nearby, making it difficult to concentrate on fishing.

Rainbow Trout are added to the Fishmonger's inventory after you progress in the fishing quests. Since you need to catch all the required fish for the quests anyway, there is little reason to buy them.
