The Dock is Recommended
You can catch it anywhere in the Desert fishing spot, but the dock is recommended.You can move immediately after catching a fish and your view won't be obstructed by sandstorms.
Good for Making Money in Part 2
Sandfish sell for 2,500G each, so you can make money just by repeatedly catching and selling them. If you progress through the Fishing Quests and max out your fishing skill, they are not difficult to catch.
Tips for Catching Sandfish
Pull the Rod After the Bobber Moves Once
Unlike normal bodies of water, it's hard to tell when a fish bites in the desert. Sandfish will get away if you don't pull the rod after the bobber reacts once so press the button as soon as the bobber moves.

Sandfish are difficult to catch, and you won't be able to catch them properly until you increase your fishing skill. It's recommended to take on the fishing quests in Seafront during Part 1 before trying.

Sandfish are added to the Fish Shop's inventory after you progress in the fishing quests. However, since you need to catch them for the quest anyway, there's almost no point in buying them from the shop.
