Playground Mode Is Back!

Playground Mode is a returning limited-time game mode in Fortnite. Here players can practice their building, and weapon skills, create structures, play with friends, and more without any pressure!

Notable Updates

• Players can now switch teams in playground mode. Same teams can build structures together while opposing teams can practice fighting.
• Golf Carts have been added
• Addition of 100 Supply Drops
• Respawn time lowered to 3 seconds from 10 seconds

New Weapon - Compact SMG

Introducing a new weapon, the Compact SMG! Eliminate the competition with this new weapon!

Other Notable Changes

Here are some remaining notable changes after the update!

Building

• Wood Wall max HP adjusted to 150 from 200
• Metal Wall max HP adjusted to 500 from 400
• Metal build Time adjusted to 25 seconds from 20 seconds

What does this tell us?

We can see from these changes that metal is the best resource for defending one's self. However it takes longer to build now. This encourages players to gather more types of resources when playing the game.

Safezone Wait Times

Safezone wait times have been reduced by 30 seconds per phase.

What does this tell us?

Reducing the safezone wait times will result in shorter games. No more dilly-dallying, plan ahead!
