User Score

Aerodactyl ex Deck - Pros / Cons

  1. Aerodactyl Ex is a Powerful Attacker
  2. Consistently Boost Primeape's Damage
  3. Needs Counters Against Heavy Hitters

Aerodactyl Ex is a Powerful Attacker

  1. Pokemon TCG Pocket - Land Crush
  2. Pokemon TCG Pocket - Land Crush Damage

Aerodactyl ex can deal a respectable 80 damage for only 2 energy. It also has a moderate 140HP, making it a viable active slot Pokemon.

Evolving first is advantageous

Pokemon TCG Pocket - Primeval Law

An opposing Starmie ex or Primeape can have severe difficulties against Aerodactyl ex. While not very consistent, your opponent won't be able to use their main Pokemon if you can manage to evolve first.

Consistently Boost Primeape's Damage

  1. Pokemon TCG Pocket - Reckless Charge
  2. Pokemon TCG Pocket - Fight Back

There are 2 copies of Mankey and only one copy of Mew ex, making it very likely to open each game with a Mankey. Use Mankey's attack to self-injure before evolving into Primeape to deal maximum damage.

Needs Counters Against Heavy Hitters

Pokemon TCG Pocket - Mewtwo Ex

Neither Aerodactyl ex nor Primeape can OHKO most Pokemon ex. Heavy hitters like Mewtwo ex are natural enemies since they can easily knock-out our Pokemon once the opponent is ready to attack.

Aerodactyl ex Deck Strategy

  1. Quick Attack with Primeape
  2. Get Points with Marshadow
  3. Be Cautious When Using Aerodactyl ex
Quick Attack with Primeape
  1. Mankey (Mythical Island)
  2. Primeape (Mythical Island)

First, attack using a Pokemon with 1 energy on the Active Spot. Hitmonlee cannot attack when the opponent doesn't have Pokemon on the Bench, so you may want to save Hitmonlee if their Bench is empty.

Get Points with Marshadow
  1. Marshadow

When your first Pokemon is Knocked Out, fight back with Marshadow to score points. Attach 1 Energy to Marshadow on the Bench to prepare for the opponent's attack.

Be Cautious When Using Aerodactyl ex
  1. Aerodactyl ex

Due to the low durability of the deck, managing the points is very important. If Aerodactyl ex is Knocked Out after you already lost 1 point, you will lose so the basic plan is to fight using 2 single Prize Pokemon then fight using Aerodactyl ex, or fight with 2 Aerodactyl ex cards.
