Aerodactyl Pros and Cons

Forcefully Remove Opponent’s Pokemon Regardless of HP

Aerodactyl's Attack has a unique effect: if you flip a coin and it lands on heads, the opponent's Pokemon is returned to their deck. However, no points are gained from this, so it's a Pokemon that requires strategic timing.

Use It to Turn the Tables

When under pressure from the opponent's Pokemon, Aerodactyl's Attack can nullify them by sending them back to the deck, thereby delaying the opponent’s victory. This is its primary use case.

Especially Effective Against Stage 2 Pokemon

If you successfully target a Stage 2 Pokemon, the opponent will need to gather three cards to bring that Pokemon back into play, which can take considerable time. It’s particularly effective if you can aim for Stage 2 Pokemon being nurtured on the Bench using cards like Sabrina.

Possible to Aim for a Special Victory

In Poképoke, if there are no Pokemon left on the field, the player loses. If Aerodactyl can send all opponent’s Pokemon back to their deck, you can achieve a victory by Bench-out.

Difficult to Bring Out on the Field

Aerodactyl’s pre-evolution, Old Amber, cannot be searched using Poke Ball. This makes it quite challenging to get Aerodactyl onto the field, which is a significant drawback.
