Hammer - How To Get & Upgrade
Available From The Start
The Hammer is not a craftable item and is not sold in any shop. You get the Hammer during the first day, after Victor hands over the tools for the farm. Press X to open your bag then select the Hammer to take it out.
Hammer Upgrades & Materials

You do not need to worry about breaking the hammer while using it. However, once you have the materials above, you can go to the Worker's Base Tool Shop in the village to upgrade it. Upgraded hammers greatly reduce the time required break rocks.
Upgrade To Break Rocks Faster
The first hammer in the game requires 4 strikes to break a stone, requiring more stamina to get resources. Upgrading the hammer reduces the number of strikes required to break a stone, decreasing stamina consumption.
How To Use The Hammer
Press Y To Smash A Rock
Use the directional buttons to select the stone that you want to break. Then press Y while having the Hammer equipped to strike the stone and clear the square.

Once you upgrade to the Iron Hammer, you can charge up to clear multiple squares. Upgrading the Hammer further increases its range, allowing you to smash more stones or ores with a single strike.
Mine Ores In The Mines
The Mines are home to materials that you can use to upgrade your tools. In the Mines, you can find Iron, Silver, and Gold Ores that you can refine to get their respective ingots. Note that the deeper you go, the rarer the ores that you can get.
