Spirit Of The Shrine Must Be An Adult
Before you can ask for a divorce, you need to help the Spirit of the Shrine become an adult first. This requires collecting 100 Earth Sprites that can be found around your farm.

Once the Spirit of Spring is fully grown, you will receive an option to divorce your spouse when you head to the beach. Select the option and you will divorce your spouse.

Relationship With Previous Spouse Resets
Divorcing your spouse will basically reset your relationship with them. This goes back to the pre-love confession, however your hearts with them will stay at 10. This will allow you to remarry them again if you want.

DIvorcing will not only affect your spouse, it will also affect your children. The child will basically disappear once you divorce.
