Axe - How To Get & Upgrade
Available From The Start
The Axe is not a craftable item and is not sold in any shop. You get the Axe during the first day, after Victor hands over the tools for the farm. Press X to open your bag then select the Axe to take it out.
Axe Upgrades & Materials

You do not need to worry about breaking the axe while using it. However, once you have the materials above, you can go to the Worker's Base Tool Shop in the village to upgrade it. Upgraded axes greatly reduce the time required to get logs.
Upgrading Decreases Chops
The first axe in the game requires 4 chops to get a log, requiring more stamina to get resources. Upgrading the axe reduces the time required to chop a tree, decreasing stamina consumption.
How To Use The Axe
Press Y In Front Of A Tree
Use the directional buttons to select a tree, then stand in front of the tree that you want to cut down and press Y to chop. Note that sturdier trees may require more chops and more stamina to fell.
Upgrade To Cut Multiple Trees

Once you upgrade to the Iron Axe, you can charge up to cut down multiple trees in an area. Upgrading the Axe further widens the range of each cut, allowing you to efficiently collect logs from a number of trees.
