Silo - How To Make & Unlock

Unlock Area 3 First
To gain access to a Silo, you will first need to unlock Area 3 where the silo is located. Then, you'll need to head over to it and repair it.
Gather Repair Materials

Before you can move or use the Silo, it must be repaired first. To repair the silo, you'll need Bricks and Silver Ingots. To make bricks, refine clay in a brick maker. Silver ingots can be made by refining silver ore in an ingot maker.
Move Silo To Desired Location
Once you've repaired the silo, you can then move it to another place by pressing B and placing it in your inventory. You can then set it down at a desired location on your farm.
Buy From Carpenter Store Once Unlocked
Once you've repaired a silo, it becomes available for purchase at the Carpenter Store for 4800 gold. You can place a total of 10 silos in-game.

Used to Store Fodder
Silos are used to store fodder, with each silo being able to hold 40 Fodder. As you can store up to 999 fodder in your inventory, it may be more efficient to store them in your inventory instead of using a silo.
