Having A Child - Conditions & Requirements

Marry A Bachelor, Bachelorette Or Have Rite Of Friendship
The main condition for having a child is to be married with a potential Bachelor or Bachelorette. Note that you can have a child regardless of the gender of your character & their spouse.

There are situations where having 15 hearts doesn't unlock the option to have children.
We are currently investigating the reasons.
After a marriage or a Rite of Friendship, you gain 5 additional hearts over the friendship limit. Raise your friendship to 15 hearts and a child event will trigger the next day.

Choose Your Child's Name, Gender
Players can choose the gender of their child when you reach 10.5 with your spouse. The child's name can be chosen just after.. Note that once the choice & name is made, they can not be changed.

Based on reader feedback, your children will inherit their parents' pupil color. You may be able to re-roll your child's pupil color by making a save file before your child is born and then continuously reloading until you get the desired appearance.
Child Will Disappear Once You Divorce
You can "divorce" by wishing your marriage to end at the Shrine, eliminating all traces of your marriage in-game. Not only will your relations with your spouse change to pre-confession status, all children you had will disappear as well.

Pre-birth Events

All events will trigger the next morning the event conditions are met. All events take place at your house.

It's possible that Birthday events only occur 1 year after the child's birth.
